Being a bit hyper after trying a number of my new snuffs (order partially based on high nicotine content) I counted 47 containers of snuff (and there may be many more under my bed along with my dental floss…) with a total weight of over a kilo. I am having 3 silver snuffboxes transshipped. Am I going overboard or just becoming more of a member. Curious about how many snuffs and accessories others have.

My first order was for 18 of the small tins from WofS. Since then I’ve bought another 7 larger tins from various mills, and got a couple more on order … and I’ve still not finished a tin yet! Total weight can’t be more than 300g I wouldn’t have thought. I bought a metal flip top tin which has proved pretty useless. Pick the thing up and it’s like a salt shaker round the hinge [-( I also just received a Sharrow Snuff wooden slide box which has got the dried out Ambassador transferred over from the “well vented” tin (I’ll rehydrate it in my nose ) and am waiting for two inbound tandem slid boxes from the chap that makes the Tripletech (?) plus some plastic boxes from Mr Snuff. I have given up on the bullets, they were annoying me. I’ve bought enough to feel I’m giving it a proper go and a chance of converting me plus finding my favourites, but not enough to induce self flaggelation or psychodiagnostics. It’s fair to say I’m not completely sold on it yet, and whilst the occasional snoot is quite nice, I’m not convinced I’ll become a full time snuffer at any point

Well if you ever feel like it’s really getting out of hand, move to Canada, you’d be charged about $213.00 to bring in 1kg of snuff about $35.00 for the processing of that and a 2 week delay in shipping. TAD is hard to come by at those prices.

If someone could simply explain how to upload pictures. I tried once before and it was the size of a postage stamp.

I have a small collection of snuff, About 300 that I need to write reviews on yet. And I own a few snuff boxes many I will never use. Add then all up and it don’t put a dent in my pipe and pipe tobacco collection, I am happy I never started a cigar hoard. Just a couple of boxes.Also a few hundred tins of chew and a growing amount of snus. You can never have too many tobacco products! Your not even close to going over board until you devote an entire wing of your house to your tobacco hoard with a walk in humidifier then you are getting close! Mine is in the planning stage

I am almost at the walk-in humidor phase for cigars. Its getting bad… Snuffs dont take up much space, so I have plenty of storage… for now!

@basement_shaman…some brands of snuff you mention in whats in your nose ~ I wonder what they are ~ never heard of them…Imperial Tobacco or the likes should buy you that walk in humidifier…sure you made one of them tobacco companies stocks rise on any given day…

at the moment i have half kilo snuff plus half kilo homemade snuff. Beside the snuffs i have several snuffhouse boxes and a vintage wooden box.

Luckily the 500g of Viking Dark are in my emergency stash at my mom’s house where he’ll never see them along with a bunch of tobacco that I’m aging.

TobaccyLassy and all you others; thanks for the reassurance. Guess I still have it mild. I’ve moved through 14 cities across 12 time zones. Usually when I move I give away much of what i have (not to mention all the dunhill and dupont lighters stolen).

Like @basement_shaman, I have ‘pounds and kilos’ of tobacco in many forms. I am certain that I have more than plenty to last my lifetime… Let’s see, right now Have an order in to Mr. Snuff, Pipes and Cigars, Cigar.com and Iwan Ries… Gotta look out for the next generation you know…

@Skell18 …500 tins of snuff … That’s a full time job just organizing them ( especially if one if OCD … I never been diagnosed ) let alone getting the rounds to put up your nasal passages … ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ }>>>>> I am for certain, my TAD is just out the starting gate …5 months… My snuff variety is pretty juicy considering, I always ponder what to do next…glad I quit cigs in 2004… I could see me trying SNUS … But not today.

@AANYCAARDS thats over 15 years worth of snuffing, plenty I have not liked but, can’t throw out, just in case! I have my mainstays that I always use and always add new ones when I feel the urge. I don’t have OCD, they are just kept in boxes but the regular stuff, if in bulk, is in jars.

3000 cigars, maybe 50 tins of snuff and 40 tins of assorted pipe tobacco… Its not that bad… yet!

I’d be panicking if I only had 1kg of snuff. Having a lifetime’s supply makes me feel safe and secure from any future stupid laws and taxes which may come to pass.

I think I have about 200 various tins. I do youtube reviews of all of mine… which I need to get back to doing on a regular basis.

I wonder: am I using too much tobacco products? Currently, I use nasal snuff, cigarettes, snus, pipe tobacco, and twist(Oliver Twist). Often, I use two at a time. I feel like a nicotine fiend sometimes. I don’t overdo it though and take too much at one sitting because that leads to stomach upset but I’m well “nicotine-ized” most of the day. only thing I really don’t care for is American moist snuff and chew.

I like a cigarette first thing in the morning for the nicotine buzz and just rotate through different things throughout the day and only smoke like 5 cigarettes/day, 3 bowls of pipe tobacco, and I sprinkle in the snuff, snus, and Oliver Twist (which I like quite a bit, but its a little expensive)

I use ecigs, snuff, nicotine pouches and snus. Snuff provides a measure of satisfaction, whereas ecigs and nicotine pouches simply remove the desire to go back to cigarettes. I’ve discussed the issue with others and am convinced it isn’t simply nicotine I crave, but some combination of alkaloids derived from tobacco.

When I smoked cigarettes, it was 3.5 packs a day. When I dropped the habit my biggest issue wasn’t nicotine, it was associated habits. It takes a while to convince myself that I needed to break the associations to be successful. After 4 years as a non-smoker, I’ll still reach for the imaginary pack of smokes and laugh.

I still carry a lighter over ten years later. I’d quit for over five years previously, without too much trouble. Many years later I accidentially stopped smoking after trying an ecig. I didn’t set out to stop smoking - it sort of happened over a couple of days and seemed a less harmful option. I had no desire to quit, but acknowledged that smoking wasn’t a great idea. Nicotine from ecigs and pouches is rather clinical and provides none of the satisfaction derived from smoking, although it does remove the urge to smoke at any given time. I find that snuff provides much of the satisfaction I received from smoking and the minimal satisfaction it lacks is more than made up for by not potentially hastening my demise.
