okok, ill start. I drive a 88 mercedes benz 309d, and a mb e 250d, ambulance. May trade the 309 for a 230 te with a 250d engine. Both cars have gone over 300k with only minor fixes such as new battery. Whats the rest of snuffhouse driving?

B

2004 Hyundai Sonata V6 GLS. I hope I’m not driving it for too much longer though, the AC is out and I’ve got a hankering for a new car.

R

@bryanikon‌ ah, no good, huh?

B

@Rogue‌ Its been pretty good to me, but recently the heating went out in the dead of winter and had it repaired, and now the AC is out in the summer. I’ve also been wanting a truck for a while, so maybe the Universe is telling me something.

N

Two feet and a heartbeat

R

@bryanikon‌ ah, I had a Taurus that would only blow the hottest air in the summer, but cold when I was freezing. Was so bad. I feel your pain

F

Shanks’s pony :))

M

95 Nissan 200SX SE 283,000 miles, 05 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Turbo, 176,000 miles. I’m an auto tech so I keep them running. The PT uses a little oil, needs valve guides.

S

'95 Chevy Blazer - 213,000 miles and running great!!! Funky radio though, fades in and out at its leisure and the wipers have their own funky beat…

N

Wrangler Jk 5door

M

2014 VW TDI Sportswagen

R

@lunecat thats a beautiful skoda! Ive only driven a felicia, one of the best cars Ive had… can almost compare to the mercedeses.

R

@havregryn glad to see more people from Scandinavia here.

H

@Rogue thanx! Was it my nick that gave it away? Where are you from?

S

Alfa Romeo 147 twin spark for the commute, 997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S at the weekend, my Alfa Romeo 147 GTA deserves an honourable mention, I can’t sell it, it has a soul!

R

@havregryn yep, your nick. And Im from Norway

R

@Skell18 oooo we got a racer here! nice. What are their 0-60s?

3

2011 VW Jetta, had it about 6 mos. I still miss my old GTI, but this Jetta’s really growing on me. I don’t consider it mine yet because I haven’t busted a knuckle on it but soon I’m sure.

R

@3_D‌ ooo nice jetta, I havent seen those here.

H

@Rogue the best scandinavian country indeed, stvg resident myself.

3

Thanks @Rogue That model came out in 2011 and ran to 2014, they’re supposed to make some minor changes in 2015. It’s received some bad press for being cheapened, but they made it longer and wider and it has a nice feel and good road manners. Both this one and my old 99 GTI VWs track real true, sit back and put one thumb on the wheel and it stays where you put it. Pretty basic 2.5 5cyl it’s no racer but it’s nimble enough. The Jetta might be US only but i’m not sure.

R

@3_D‌ is it the same 2.5 as in older mercedes? If so, youve gotten a real champion on the roads, last forever.

R

@Rogue the best scandinavian country indeed, stvg resident myself.

Well, taxes are bad though, especially on tobacco. You gettin your snuff from m sorensen?

H

I have ordered tons of snuff from Mr.Snuff and never paid tax for any of it. M. Sørensen has only 3 different snuffs and that is just sad.

R

@havregryn‌ yeah, but some time ago they only had 3

M

Like @n9inchnails‌ said, I go by foot or bicycle, just got back from a 3 mile round trip ride to the store to get a drink and having been without any smoke in my lungs for 2 months I must say I feel a lot better especially when riding in 95 degree heat pedaling non-stop. I also sometimes take the city bus or city train when I can’t find a ride.

R

Wow, you guys are just too sporty.

R

now a 1993 mercedes e220 with a 150hp petrol engine. Bought it for 1k usd, needless to say it took me a few days to get it running properly…worth every penny… that I saved.

C

R

@Cigshurtmylungs‌ Terrible mileage on that one, eh?

K

A 2002 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6, just gone over 100,000 miles in it, done 40,000 in the last 2 years. I love it as a car although it has cost me a lot in parts (myself and my dad do the work). It’s needed though, when you’ve got a wife and four kids you need the seats!

R

@Koba22‌ I know that story. Were a pretty big family too, so its either 8 seats or 2 cars that wont cost us too much. the 309d I had had 9 seats, but was one thirsty son of a snuffer. Was noisy too, but plenty of room. Had tables in it, room for my nephews little bed etc. And as a big family livin in the middle of nowhere you have a lot to consider. Nearest store here is 8km away, so a car that can go for ages is necessary. In one week I drove 1000 km once, lowest km per week here is 300km, thats if we dont have to go to the stores a lot. Isnt vauxhall the same as opel though? Or is it just a quick and dirty substitute?

K

@Roque Opel is the trading name of Vauxhall outside of Great Britain, so yeah they are the same. I live in the middle of nowhere aswell, in the Forest of Dean, nearest shop from us is about 5 miles aswell. Myself and my wife are both students at the moment so cash is an issue, and definately none for a new car at the moment. I finish my Masters next year though so we shall see, looking to upgrade to a VW Transporter when we can.

H

I take the bus.

R

@koba22transporters are pretty neat, quite reliable apparently. Had a Caravelle 2.4 some time ago, went over 300k (like many other german builds) with a minimum of wear and tear changes.

R

1996 audi a4 now.

A

2013 MINI Cooper S Hardtop, British Racing Green with Black Racing Stripes and all the goodies.

J

1998 Suzuki Samurai 1.3ie

R

@AgentMatt‌ Ive never tried a mini, what are they like? @Jammer That looks like one epic offroader.

A

@Rogue So far its an absolute blast, I’ve read that it handles like an adult sized go kart, and that is absolutely true. It’s got great acceleration, awesome looks and handling (for what it is, obviously) and its really fuel efficient. Especially as compared to my previous two vehicles which were SUVs. Even filling up with the Ultra Premium gasoline was waaaaaay cheaper than filling up Regular on every other car I’ve ever had. So far I would definitely recommend it.

K

2000 Chevy Blazer. Reliable hunk o’ junk.

R

@AgentMatt‌ No wonder it handles that great if bmw is behind it. Hows the pricing on em?

T

2013 Chevrolet 1500 Z71 Ex Cab … triple black …

R

@The_HP do new chevys actually work?

T

Well, @Rogue‌ - I get a new one every 24 months or 125,000 miles, whatever comes first … I like this one better than my last one, but not as much as the one before it . I am in the construction industry ( building roads, bridges, subdivisions, shopping centers and doing stream bed restoration ) , so i put a truck through the paces…

F

Chevy Impala

A

@Rogue‌ I got mine for much less than normal, with the features it has and whatnot, since I found it through a dealer auction. That being said, on average they are selling now between 19 and 24, depending on the model/ features.

M

I picked this up yesterday…

M

well that’s sharp, miamimark. I still like my diesel VW, getting 40=48 mpg , the people’s car and surprisingly well made.

R

@The_HP ah, same cycle as my uncle then. He buys a new Opel every third year. There are a lot of horror stories about new chevys here. One neighbour got a tahoe, broken gearbox. Another one got a 2500, and it doesnt run on all cylinders. Ive steered clear of all american cars ever since my well-maintained pontiac died. New american cars just dont meet my standards. Ive always gotten old fords, japs or german cars for towing, hauling and tearing. Theyre all cheap here used.

S

1997 Opel Vectra. Unfortunatly I don’t have any pics. But it’s RED! Nothing else is really important…

K

If I weren’t so broke (via the US Army) I’d probably be driving a Fiat or a BMW. A soldier can dream…

R

@SkeG opel, nice. @killeidoskope‌ used bmws are pretty cheap here. How much does a used one cost there?

R

I have…once again changed cars. 1998 mercedes benz c180 classic.

R

@lunecat TOO DAMN AWESOME!

G

A1997 Toyota 4Runner. This is a young one with only 167k miles.

R

@gravel ooo, good for offroading?

G

@Rogue‌ It isn’t kitted out for serious off roading. I used to have off-road tires on it and it performed well for me. I made a choice when I last bought tires to go with passenger tires to match how I drive currently. I miss the look of the old tires, but appreciate the better handling on the road. Edit: fixing that damn autocorrect.

R

@gravel I feel ya, I used to have an old gmc with nice wheels… it sucked at offroading though.

P

2006 Subaru Impreza WRX 1993 VW Corrado SLC Subie is the daily driver, thinking of selling the Corrado and getting an Audi wagon or something similar.

R

@paN1k‌ Do it! Get an audi! Theyre pretty comfy and almost sporty.

P

I used to have a 2010 Avant. Loved it, had engine troubles though. Would go through a quart of oil every 3 or 4 gas fill ups.

R

@paN1k‌ Ive found the engines of most audis to suck, except for the a4, not sure about the newer ones, Im kinda stuck in the 90s. And 80s and 70s, if possible ill never touch 2010 or newer… OH THE MEMORIES!!! THE PAIN, THE TRAUMA!

P

Yeah. It was the A4 2.0T. My VR6 with 188k miles burns almost no oil. Go figure.

R

@paN1k‌ I steer away from turbo aswell.

R

Now driving a 1995 vw caravelle with 323k on the clock.

F

officially a new Yamaha YBR125

J

2003 Mountaineer

K

Opel Corsa 1,3s. '89

K

R

@kokolihamies‌ thats actually pretty sweet. Do you get good mileage with it?

R

also a 1987 volvo 240 now.

M

1987 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser, Royal Blue, 2nd owner, 207,000 miles. Best car I’ve ever had even though it is slow, and gets terrible mileage.

S

2012 Jeep Compass. The grill is the only jeep part, but I like it…5 speed, about 29mpgs… 2001 Chevy Tracker for the desert off roads. Would like to get a used Rav4… :bz

B

95 GMC Sierra club cab 4X4 two tone silver on black PU truck . Gas hog, work trucks usually are! I am disabled now, looking for a beater that gets more than 10 mpg. So I can go fishing without breaking the bank. :(|)
