Sorry I haven’t been answering questions or posting for the last few days. I was hospitalised with TN (the suicide disease) and I must say I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. It’s quite rare and 1 in 15,000 of us will get it. It can only be described as a nuclear headache. Pain in the side of the head, jaw, teeth and ear. Has anyone here had this? and who long was it before you recovered?

The good thing was that when the drugs started working and I started feeling better I got chatting with one of the doctors about snuff. He was amazed, one that its still existed and, two of the HR it can provide. I hope he does indeed google the facts as he said he would. Another medical convert would be great.

Snuffster, I haven’t forgotten your snuff recipes and I will get some to you as soon as I am able.

Wow Roderick, glad you are doing better!

F

That’s awful news, Roderick, but happy to hear that you are getting better. My wife suffers from terrible migranes which are quite debilitating and painful. Hope the meds continue to work for you.

H

Sounds like a really bad abcessed tooth, heh. I’m guessing “suicide disease” because you’ll do anything to take the pain away? Anyway, glad it was taken care of and you are feeling better.

S

@Toque … sorry to hear about this … but glad you have bounced back and are feeling better … i have read up on TN … i had/have something similar in Cluster Headaches … dubbed “suicide headache” … nail right behind the eye and the temple, like clockwork, once an hour, for a few seconds to a few minutes then would go away. luckily was able to treat with meds.

sounds like yours is even worse … glad your meds are helping as well.

M

you have my sympathy, for what that’s worth; haven’t had a severe migrane in quite some time but I know how debilitating these pains can be.

Z

My wife suffered for years. Strangely enough, it was snuff that allowed her to control it.

A

Roderick, that sounds terrible, you have my deepest sympathy - I take morphine daily for nerve damage and I know how pain can be overwhelming but what you have suffered sounds far worse. I hope you can take it easy for a while and that someone can look after the business for a spell even if just for a short time. We all send you our best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. This is one of those times when you wish you could do something concrete to help - but in the absence of that an abundance of prayers, thought and best wishes.

I think snuff recipes can wait for the moment:)

B

Best of luck friend.

D

I had never heard of this before.

“It has been described as among the most painful conditions known.” --Wikipedia

Holy crap man, that sounds beyond awful.  I hope you have a speedy recovery.

The interesting thing I found is that the recommended medications are exactly what I’m on for totally unrelated things.  It’s always fascinating to me how the efficacy of certain medications can can treat so many seemingly unrelated illnesses.

T

Thanks Guys, The drugs are working well and I won’t be beaten. I was only out of it for a few days but, it’s good to be back.

S

Roderick I wish you a total and speedy recovery.

M

Me too, get better quick!

J

That sounds really unpleasant to say the least. Wish you a speedy recovery and zero re-occurrence!
