The Nuber One being that Desert Island Snus… Maybe we should do at least the top 5 as it seems that there are many on here that are new to snus…after all, it is a snuff forum. Claq Qui, TreAnkare, Scruf Tranbar for portions, Gotlands yellow, Scruf stark for los. The others come and go. Having solid favorites makes sampling a little tedious.

As long as I can rape the goat once or twice a day, I’ll be all right. With snus I don’t crave variety like with snuff. Any plainish one will satisfy me.

Hmm… well I’m the resident snus newb so I’ve only tried: LD Roda Lacket Level Kronen I like them in that order. Got some new ones on the way and I’m going to a tobacconist to grab a can of General.

I have only tried about 10 so far but my top 5 at the moment would be Gotlands Green Göteborgs Rapé No. 2 General Onyx Claq Qui Swedish Match 01 This is of course subject to change as soon as my next order arrives…

At the moment I like(and I have only taken the pastime up for a few months): Grov Original (my favourite) Ettan Original (my second favourite, particularly the los version) Montecristo (I prefer the los version) Jakobssons Classic Romeo Y Julietta Probe Whisky I have only had one that I find objectionable and that was Taboca (artificial taste), whilst the Skruf Original (rough on my gums) and General White (too salty) were alright but I won’t bother buying again.

I love Los (so far). I have dipped on and off for the past 11 years, so I really don’t get along too well with portions. General and LD are my faves so far, sooo good! Can’t wait to get my order in.

Well, I’m a noob to snus, so I figured I’d go with the more user-friendly option for starters. That and I drive a desk for a living, so I don’t want to be talking to my boss or at a meeting and have a pris mudslide on me, but no matter…I can keep the portions for work and los on my free time…

I used to think the same , James. Right up until a few days ago when i ran out of portions and just said to hell with it and started throwing in a pinch of los whenever i felt like it. Not one of them even blinked. They must think I’m throwing in a mint or something , tho i do look kind of odd licking my teeth for a half a minute there trying to shove all that snus under my lip. I can’t say I’d be the happiest person if it all went down to mudslide village when I’m talking to my boss but there’s no way in hell I’m going back to smoking just because I’m out of portions. Been coughing my lungs out for 3 weeks prior to this last order of snus. So far my faves are: Lucky Strike Original and Bold portions. Roda Lacket Los Ettan Los General Extra Strong Portions. Thunder Extra Strong los. Goat Rape Original Los.

Hehehe, I’ve gotten fast at whipping a portion into the trashcan…I don’t even shivagit anymore, I’ll be at a status meeting with my snus can sitting right there on the table. I’ve not gotten quite ballsy enough to snort a big pinch of snuff at a meeting tho…

Hell Snusers! I’m snusing now for about 5 years now and nearly tried every snus. My reflection to all the new snus-types is that they’re all becoming stronger and stronger. I was using a lot of Onyx and Skruf Stark and in the end General Extra Sterk aswell. I’m feeling better now going back to the roots of snus. There’s enough nic and taste and my daily snus usage went down from 10-12 prillas/portions to 3-5. I think the strong snus brings you in a “need-nic-spiral”. Just my 2cent! Here my favourites: Grov Ettan General Röda Lacket Göteborgs Rapé Gotland Gul(Yellow) Rallarsnus(not produced anymore ) I use Lös and portions but no white ones, cause it takes too much time to let the flavour through! I use both los and portion. Maybe I’m getting old but finding portions more and more tasty and handy. Maybe they are better technically than they used to be. But still my favourite snus’d be lös: Röda Lacket and Göteborgs Prima Fint first, then Gruv. In portions Ettan, General and new O2 now but any Swedish Match snus’ll do. Don’t give much about new producers’ snus.

my lös snus usage has dropped in the last month or so, its only General and Ettan a couple of times a week. The rest is just nick and johnny black, camel, grov and general, what ever i grab in the morning.

^ This freeze is not so inviting for pinching snus outdoors, either. Seems portions rule for a while. Must get a snuff bullet as well, spoon has been my most advanced gadget this far.

thunder regular los or monte cristo a tie between the two. Love the flavor of both and both pinch up and hold together very well (very important with los). The thunder though wins out if I have to pay for my supply of snus. If it’s a free snus but only one type the monte cristo is the winner.

Unlike snuff, I can’t get into flavors with Snus. It’s plane regular tobacco please… Lucky Strike Bold, Strong Portion Nick & Johnny, Black Portion Nick & Johnny Strong Portion Granit Portion Lucky Strike Regular Portion Phantom Brown, Loose Knox, Loose edit: i guess i do like a couple flavors, just not sure which ?

I really like Thunder Original Portion. Also really like N&J, Claq Cui, and General Sterk. Non starks, I really like Ettan and Grov Originals, General Original. All portions. Not really a fan of los, as I find it sticks to my teeth and is not comfortable to me. I have been dipping US dip in the evenings, and using portion snus at work and out.

I am a little surprised to see that no one included Oden’s on their lists. Oden’s is definitely one of my favorite Snus brands. I will admit my experience is somewhat limited, however, I can say that Thunder and Oden’s is some excellent stuff. I also enjoy Nick and Johnny because they tend to have some very interesting stuff (eg. Radical Red Xtra Strong Chili ). Either way, I need to really place another Snus order because this next order I am really looking to branch out and try something new.

In fact Skruf is #2 by population. @Skell18 you need to find some Islay Whisky snus. Maybe look up Conny on your next Swedish outing. Tell him the Americans sent ya.

Have tried most now and I only like loose snus. Of those, only 4 interest me. General or Ettan loose - for the majority of the time, I prefer these 8mg snuses Thunder mint los when I want something stronger Odens Extreme original when I want a real good Nic kick These are the only snuses I’ll buy in future although I still have plenty of other brands in my freezer collection, the above 4 are my favourites.

i cant have a top 10, i need more snus! i want to try all the ones i cant get in the UK, like general, ettan etc. however, my top currently, in this order, is Skruf stark portion Skruf los Odens cold regular portion skruf extra stark portion skruf tranbar white snus doesnt seem to have the need for variety like snuff. though im pretty sure the rest of the snus i want to try but cant would put up a good fight against skruf haha.

It’s tobacco forward with a peaty, smoky single malt Scotch background. Much like drinking great Scotch while smoking a mild cigar. The blend of tobaccos is aged in Islay Whisky barrels, the tobacco soaks up the flavors a bit. i can’t say if whisky is added to the tobacco or not. Subtle yet noticeable. Honestly this is on the same level as the Swedish Match annual Kardus snus, but in a large production, portion form. The tobaccos were individually chosen for this snus, by one of the guys who thought up all the SM Kardus stuff. It has been 2 years in the making. Worth the long wait and the price.

@Bigmick … buddy, that is super nice of you … but i was just kidding. I have clearly seen how much you love the stuff, and i wouldn’t ask anyone to part with something they love. I do really appreciate the detailed description. that sounds very good, indeed.

Roda Lackett Los is my favorite, I couldn’t really make a top 10 list as there are a lot of snuses I think are pretty good but not excellent.
