Not blowing my horn or anything… But we made the local paper… Nose full of Bordeaux the whole time!!
congrates.
Congrats! I’ve only seen ice wine on TV but i heard it’s something quite special.
congrats on the coverage… just curious what it means by “we don’t have to bury the plant” i’m in the veggie buisiness and might braoden to fruits in the future so i’m just curious. Don’t worry i’m in the lower peninsula so i shouldn’t be to much competition
Very nice, ice wine is great stuff.
Congratulation and celebrations!! Pieter
Congrats, and I thought it was cold here in Yorkshire, UK at 4º C Lol!
@Johndeere89 : Becase we reach -26*C here easily every year, we have to take 1-2 canes from the vine and burry them in the ground. Usually, the can is pulled from the trellising system, and tied down to a low wire about 2 inches off the ground. we then drive the tractor by with a side mounted plough to creat a “hill” This is the bury. Also, Our wine maker is french and hasn’t mastered all of the english language just yet. The paper just quoted in word for word.
so how do we get a job working the vineyard there? No previous experience but a swift learner. The senses of an epicurian without the bothersome training (easy imprinting of good taste). Willing to work hard as long as my soul is not being crushed by the stifling boredom of the ignorant masses. Have no idea what is decent pay in canada if I can afford snuff wine and some other unmentionable things I’ll be fine. I’am much funnier in person then online.
@nigthcap, thanks for that i understand now
