Ok, I’ve taken to having a cup of tea every evening before heading off to bed, but I’m getting a little tired of the same old green/white tea blend I’ve been drinking for the past week or so. Now I know that many members here enjoy tea, so I’m asking for suggestions. I’m gonna need sources too, so please recommend your favorite supplier as well. Thanks
http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/ Extremely high quality Taiwanese tea! I have never had anything finer for the price. If you aren’t looking to spend too much the four seasons is unreal considering how cheap it is, I bought some Alishan tea from a crappy British seller for over twice that price that couldn’t even begin to compare with this. The more expensive teas from these place are very, very good and everything is fresh. Free delivery for orders over $60 as well.
four seasons is incredible also on the same vein I would recomend looking for snowsprout green expensive but equaly amazing.
Hey merdock69, There is one I would strongly suggest trying, everyone who I’ve given a sample to loves it including our old forum friend omegapd who is a big tea lover. Its Angels Dream. Its a definite must try. They also sell it in tea bags if you prefer that way, but I always buy loose tea & use a tea ball. They also have customer reviews on each tea so you can read reviews & decide for yourself. They other ones here I would suggest trying are: Lapsang Souchong- if you like de kralingse latakia 1860 snuff you’ll love this, Indian Spiced Chai, Monks Blend, Irish Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast. Also here at the New Mexico Tea Company your first order ships free, and if you sign up for the newsletter you will receive 1 free sample each month after your first order. You can find their own versions of the above mentioned flavors. For a good wake up tea, try Fast Lane
Free tea sample from Twinings Tea. Once you fill in your info & submit it there is a few more questions on the second page. Free Twinings Tea
Upton Tea Imports. Biggest selection from everywhere in the world and has the lowest prices. Reviews and their customer service is great. I’m not affiliated, just a tea junky and that’s my source.
merdock I sent you a $5.00 gift certificate for adagio, I buy a lot of tea from there and they have a tea maker called ingenuitea, its the best thing I’ve used to make a cup of tea. I also buy from upton and they have the largest selection of fine teas that I have found.
Whatever happened to OmegaPD? I’ll never forget his story of spilling snuff all over his squad car… matwho, how did you send me a gift certificate? Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I’m sifting through them right now.
What’s the nice tea pot that so many of you guys use?
I just went to adagio and clicked on send a gift certificate, did you get it?
Nope didn’t get it. Maybe it will come later. Thanks!
I sent it to the wrong address, I resent it, you should get it now.
I eat Indian food about once a week (when I’m really, really hungry) for lunch and I always get the indian Chai Tea with milk. Trust me when I tell you this is stronger than coffee. Delicious with the milk and sugar. The Chai “latte” you can get at Starbucks is NOT the real thing. This stuff is potent, and very nice.
long jing / lung ching ist great if you can get it at a decent price.
merdock69, omegapd got so far behind on all the new discussions that he just gave up on the forum because he didn’t have the time to catch up. I still keep in touch with him by email. As far as a tea pot, probably the best way to go is a Yixing pot. They get ‘seasoned’ with use. You can see a pic of omegapd’s on this other tea discussion Who are the tea drinkers here? on comment #7
