Hey folks. I’ve got a number of cob pipes. I’ve also got a variety of colored leather stains from Tandy leather that are water based and marketed as non toxic. Am wondering if any of you have an opinion on whether or not it would be safe to dye a cob or two with this particular type of dye? Any toxicity or health issues to be concerned about? Ta.

IMHO why trifle with a good thing?

T

Nachman, Ask yourself… Who wouldn’t want a hot pink cob pipe?

WW: I would try using only food based dyes. Bluberries, red wine, beets, things like that.

Xander, that’s a good idea, thanks.

Good call Xander, how about soaking some tobacco in a little water and squeezing out some tobacco stain?

X

Tobacco does stain. Just ask my white handkerchiefs.

Sounds like nicotine abuse to me… ;b
