Ive never had any WoS. But my toque tins always get dented >=(
I hate WoS tins because they don’t seal good and my snuff tends to dry out in them.
Personally, I don’t hate the tins. They can be a hassle sometimes because of spillage, I’ll give you that. I love the F&T tubes, as well as the Toque tins, because they both have a nice screw on lid. Toque especially, because you get absolutely no spillage if you know what you’re doing. But oh well, we can’t win them all right?
This is not OT and certainly not a random question. Its been brought up multiple times in the past. True, the tins can be annoying, but there is a trick to learn to counteract this. Before you open the tin drop it from a height of a 2-3 inches over a flat surface such as your table. Keep its bottom parallel to the surface. Repeat this several times. The snuff will level out and move to the center, allowing you to open the tin without spillage. If you have no flat surface available (Are you on a boat?) then tap the bottom of the tin agressivley as well as the sides until the same result is achieved.
Xanders technique works wonders, I’ve used it before as well. It settles it very nicely
Not my trechnique. I learned it from the snuffhouse seniors. I had the same complaint when I was a freshman.
The way WoS tins should be treated are as follows: 1) Open tin over clean sheet of paper in case you spill some snuff 2) Decant snuff into proper snuff box 3) Set about to totally destroy WoS tin by first tramping on it and then folding it. 4) Take hammer and a big nail or punch and donner some nice holes through the wreck. 5) Put in rubbish bin. Amen
No, they should be saved to decant all your GH sneeze box snuffs into, becuase no matter how bad they may be, they are 100 times better than a sneeze box.
I have a 5g WOS tin I have been refilling form bulk that I have carried for over a year that is still fine.
