Wait wait wait! That’s 2009 article. This got shot down, I think by big tobacco.
Whew! I can stop rolling my eyes now.
Wow, if big tobacco really did shut this down I’d be really surprised. I didn’t think they had any fight left in them in this day and age.
Well, In the USA, big tobacco would have quite a bit of flavored dipping tobacco that would be affected. I used to sell it, and a lot of men would only buy the berry (like cherry and whatnot) flavors of dip. Those customers would never dip unflavored, mint, or wintergreen. Also, A LOT of people bought individual flavored cigarillos (like grape or wine) for use with smoking marihuana. That law would ban the sale of those, which would hurt big tobacco.
Yeah, the dip companies took it to court, the city could not ban them.
sorry about that didnt realise it was from last year silly me
I used to “smoke” a couple packs of Round-Up and Lucky-Light candy ciggy-butts as a young boy. Surely we can find a way to keep these available for the little ones?
@Bart I mentioned those candy cigs to someone the other day in one of those “old enough to remember” remarks. There were faux Pall Mall, Salem, Chesterfield and Luckies. Probably a whole slew of others, but those came to mind first. The flavour wasn’t that great, iirc. Like Wintergreen Altoids.
Ah,… but nothing like that first puff of dust in the morning with your Tang…hell YES!!
I prefered Ovaltine with my bubble gum cigs and cigars.
