Someone on here mentioned ‘cigar box ukulele’s’ the other day, and after some research I’ve decided I want to build a cigar box guitar. Now, the tobacconists near me doesn’t have any empty cigar boxes, nor do I recall ever seeing any boxes in the junk shops around here. I’m going to carry on hunting, but was wondering if anyone on here (from the UK - for postage reasons) has a couple of empty boxes I could get? I’ll cover the postage costs, and give you a bit of cash for them if you want.

Haven’t built cigar box guitars, but I use taller boxes as “snuff boxes”, like so:

@spam you can get empty boxes from alot of the cigar catalogs like cigars int. and others I would send you one but mine always get taken over by friends to put their nick nacks in. hope that helps!

Cheers @snuffeysouthcarolin!. I’ll see if I can pick anything up from a shop near by in the next couple of weeks, if not I’ll probably get one of two from cigars int.

Ebay sells a lot of them too. That’s where I got my Arturo Fuente HEMINGWAY CLASSIC box from when I first starting snuffing just over a year ago. It’s funny because I thought that would be plenty big enough to hold all the snuff that I would need on hand!

Try an empty oil can for making a guitar. Works just fine
