OT car over curb question...

I ran over a curb hard. There’s a weird sound when I’m in drive, and something rattled. Do you think it’ll be fine till I get paid? Thank you for responding.

When you move or all the time?

All the time when I’m in drive.

do you have any alternative way of getting around. I am not a super knowledgeable car guy, but I  have known people who’ve been in a similar situation and the outcome ranged from yeah not a big deal to driving made it worse. I’d also say if it’s worrying you then probably just doesn’t’ sound right.

No. Bad day. At hospital with my gf, been up for over a day, and broke my glasses, besides. It sounded as if something fell off on the interstate. Why only bad sound in drive?

While in gear, or while moving? So if you’re sitting still, in ‘drive,’ with the brakes on at a full stop does it still make noise? Are there also new noises when turning?

If the noise is always there, youre lucky! Get someone to get inside the car, put it in D, hold the brakes, follow the sound into the rabbit hole.

The sound stopped. I think something did fall off on that trip. Makes me nervous. It had been a clicking or a clanking, always and only when in drive.

It could be as simple as a heatshield that has loosened a bit and knocks against something, band holding the exhaust that loosened, causing the exhaust system to bang against the body of the car…or it could be more severe. Put it in D, hold the brake and have someone take a look.
