Does anyone have any experience of ordering from Wilsons of Sharrow direct? Despite knowing how poor the Wilsons tins are, I bought three 25g tins of Royal George from an online supplier (who shall remain nameless!) and all three are dusty and scentless, not a patch on the 5g taster tin I bought from another supplier . If I go direct to Wilsons, am I guaranteed a fresher supply? As daft as it might sound, I’d like to stay away from bulk if possible. The old adage of “never throw away a snuff, your tastes change” very much works in reverse as well for me. There are a few snuffs I’ve gone mad over for a month or two and then grown bored of. I don’t want to end up with a couple of hundred grams sitting unloved on a shelf in a few weeks!
Seriously, go for it. I’ve bought in bulk from Wilsons before, as well as a few tins, and it was all as fresh as it could be. You will not be disappointed. One thing though, where do you live? They have restrictions on where they post to.

I’ve only ordered a sample pack from them before - first snuff order I ever placed. Delivery time was quite good as I recall … although I am actually near enough to drive there in about 30mins if I wanted

@Bizzle Their delivery time in the UK is usually a couple of days - order on a Tuesday morning and you should get it on the Thursday. They always seem to dispatch either same or next day - the only variable is Royal Mail - and yes, it’s always fresh.
Ive found them to be very good, even down to the welcome email on my first order. It’s all fresh as I discovered when I ordered the Camphor & Mild, didn’t realise the tin I had, had lost its scent. From their website there doesn’t seen to be a minimum order. Go for it.
I’ve bought a few tins from them direct before, absolutely no complaints. stuff is as fresh as you can get it

I don’t understand why they cannot ship to the US, when Mr.S can and does ship here. I know that Mr S is located in Northern Ireland, but isn’t that country part of the EU? And then there is Snusory, located in Germany, who does ship to the US. I just don’t understand the complexities of the PACT law. If any of you know the details I would like to read about them. Please comment.
@mrmanos It has absolutely nothing to do with PACT. PACT only applies to mail order business within the United States. Most of the UK vendors use the major credit card processing companies (which are US based). These companies have taken upon themselves not to allow their customers to ship tobacco via their service, as they presume that they are liable for any underage sales that occur via such transactions. Apparently there have actually been cases of this happening and the card processors getting sued, but I’ve not actually seen it documented. Plenty of reading on this (and tons more about PACT) if you have the time and inclination to delve into past threads.
Wilsons used to ship to Canada, but stopped that in 2010. I did manage to order a few small tins direct from the mill though. I can order direct from Toque still, which is great.
Received my order today, all three tins are as fresh as can be. Very pleased!

I have ordered from WoS directly and all I can say is that it was fresh, good and arrived quickly - I live on the European continent…go for it
I was lucky enough to get a few bulk tubs of WoS snuff direct just before they stopped shipping outside the EU, excellent service and the snuff is as fresh as can be.
Unless you go to a tobacconist with a large turnover of snuff it’s very easy to end up with old, dry snuff. I buy direct from Wilson’s and it’s a great service they provide.
