ordered from mr.snuff 6 business days ago, i know its not that long, but a day after i ordered i called a local tobacco shop to see if they carried nasal snuff, they told me that its become illegal in mass because “the british won’t tell us whats in it”. I’m just wondering will PACT or customs will interfere with me receiving orders from Mr.snuff?
No. I’ve never heard of this happening in Mass. Seems to me that any law applying to MA would have applied to the rest of the states, if it deals with overseas shipments. I’d give it a couple weeks before you worry. Sometimes Customs looks at random packages, and it could just be your lucky day!
thank you @wwhermit for the quick response, i was hoping the guy who told me that was just talking out of his ass lol
@dpayne The local tobacco guy means is that for foreign snuff manufacture company’s to sell snuff here they have to disclose this information to the US government. Snuff is not illegal and still made in the USA. Toque has jumped threw these hoops and sells Toque USA also Silver Dollar snuff here in tobacco stores. Pact act only refers to snuff being sent through the US postage system. Since MrSnuff is a foreign co. they cannot break the trade agreement and have to honor handling the shipping and delivery with the USPS. It is legal to use UPS and other carriers to ship snuff here in the states if you ever desire to become a snuff manufacture. It is also legal for you to send snuff through the USPS for gifts or trade and sometimes profit as if it is a collectible item.
It shouldn’t… Massachusetts has no juristiction when it comes to International Commerce. The tobacconist was probably telling you that it is illegal for him to SELL it in Massachusetts.
