I have been working my way through some samples I got and would like some advice on what to order based on a brief description of each. De Kralingse Latakia AO 1860: This is far and away my favorite. I like the grind (could be a touch smaller), moisture, and nicotine level. Very complex flavor of anise, chocolate, smoke, and peat. Flavor lasts and lasts. Toque Toast and Marmalade and Christmas Pudding: I can manage the grind and moisture level OK for a beginner. I would like just a bit more nicotine. I don’t get much flavor with the toast. The flavor of Christmas Pudding is good, but the flavor fades quickly. Wilsons of Sharrow Jockey Club: The grind, moisture level, and nicotine level is much like the Toque above. The flavor lasts but doesn’t seem natural. I get baby powder, soap, and flowers. Samuel Gawith Christmas 2013: Great grind and moisture level. I would like a bit more nicotine. Somewhat artificial yet pronounced flavor which lasts a bit longer than the Toque products. I mostly get orange zest and cinnamon. I haven’t tried a medicated product. I was told Hedges L260 is highly regarded and thought about getting some. I’m very curious about the Virginia based De Kralingse. Any recommendations? I would also like a recommendation on a natural. Any other thoughts based on my reviews? Thanks!

Maybe try Toque Quit and/or Viking Dark?

i found the dark SWS snuffs (Mull of Oa, Creme de Figue, Auld Alliance and i assume Moro Moro is the same though i havent tried it) are almost impossible to use for some of us here including myself, so dont go rushing into a purchase of all of them, just try one and see how you go since they are expensive. they are excellent snuffs, extremely high quality, they just dont agree with some. anyway, i definitely recommend toque quit and viking dark, and if you liked the ao 1860 maybe you will like A/P, which i believe is the 1860 base with a pine/spruce flavour and a little finer grind, i love it. Medicated- you may want to try something milder than hedges too, some dont like heavily medicated. i like WoS S.M snuffs myself, or a german oil moistened product like poschl red bull, gletscher prise, or some bernards (i havent tried many but love fichtennadel). as for your reviews, you didnt really say wether you liked each snuff except 1860, christmas pudding, and christmas 2013. if you like orange zest perhaps use a plain snuff you like and add the scent yourself by leaving a washed peel in it overnight. itll moisten the snuff too, though i have suspicions it lowers/slows the nicotine uptake slightly from the tobacco by lowering the pH.
