After a lot of consideration and order editing, I have come up with my next list of snuffs to try. So here we go: 1 x Toque Almond Toast 10g 1 x Toque Peppermint 10g 1 x McChrystal’s Mild Lemon 21g 1 x Wilsons SP Best 10g $2.56 1 x Samuel Gawith SP Scotch 25g 1 x Sir Walter Scott’s St-James Parish Blend Snuff 15g Yay? Nay? Stone me to death?
don’t take the McChrystal’s, Wilsons and Gawith ones, but order instead some more of St James Parish blend. You won’t regret it.
I may just order a second 15g tin or the 50g tin instead. I would like to try the others.
You know I would vote Wilsons Best, and whilst it’s not an SP, if your tastes are like mine then chuck in a tin of Viking Blond too. Also, as the 5g tins are dirt cheap, you might as well get some J&H Wilson SP no.1.
I opt for getting stoned to death. Or maybe just stoned. Any SWS snuff is sure to please, and Johnny’s genius shows in his variety; from great toasts to wonderful coarse, moist snuffs. Not one of them should be missed. Great snuff.
If you haven’t found any favorites yet, then your choice is OK. Once you find snuffs that you really like, you need to buy in bulk – it will save you a lot of money.

These threads are sort of open-ended. Really, make a list, buy the snuff, live and learn. Ask all about the various snuffs, but at the end of day its your money and your nose. If you’re like me, you’ll end up with 50 pounds of snuff and nary a regret. Lol
I realize your point, yes. However, in my own defense, I highly value most people’s opinions here because they too were beginners once. I do explore a bit on my own, but sometimes I like to get opinions because it could lead me somewhere I may not have ventured before. But your post is spot on, I won’t lie.
No worries, old chap, youre quite right to ask as there are an enormous amount of choices to choose from and who wants to buy a lemon? We all want garauntees or the thumbs up…it reminds me of the glory days o Nicotine Rush, $100 orders and nights of tobacco… Dont worry, youre doing fine.
I want to buy a lemon, that’s who. I’ve got a jug o’ rum just screaming for a twist o’ citrus and lime won’t do. Bring on the damn lemons and be quick about it. I be dying of thirst over here. =))
