opening an aged treat!

14 months ago, when i started snuffing, I made a mixture of 60% Chocolate and 40% Natural. Put it in a nice little glass vile with a cork stopper as a lid. And put it away in my little “man’s hope chest” I collect things in from my childhood and so on… ( eg, baby teeth, cherry bombs from trip to florida in '92) i just remembered it today and took a good pinch from it. Wow! just as fresh as day one, but it seemed more complex. just like a wine. the original flavours are there but, they have evolved into a more mature experience. just loving it!! any one else hiding little treats to be opening one day?

Ive got a jar with an ounce each of 40 yr old, 20 yr old and new WE Garrett. I call it WE Garrett Three Generations.

Had to blow the dust of this thread, and the glass vile. I honestly haven’t snuffed this sample since the March 2009 post. This stuff keeps getting better. Very complex now with notes of dark chocolate, dark tobacco, subtle hints of wild white flowers and earth. This is around 3 years old now. @Roderick. Any thought towards starting a “vintage” line of snuff?

Mmm… Toque Antique. I can already feel my mind’s eye (and nose) getting blurry, just from the thought. Let’s break that down. You take some snuff (alright, a classy start) add a pinch (pun intended) of Roderick’s magic, shaken well, not stirred. Give a year or two. Delish. Who could ask for more? Sign me up, Doc.

I usually take a little from all the tobacco’s i buy and set them on a shelf i have to age. So far pipe tobacco and hookah tobacco are the best to age. Snuff seems to do well too but

I have a lot of aged snuff now…I will let you all know how it goes!
