Well… thinking about throwing ~$500 at the snuff addiction, unfortunately this includes shipping. So, which is cheaper, one large order, or five or so smaller orders?
One large order makes the most sense given the cumulative shipping costs of multiple small orders. I feel your pain, as I’m putting together a massive order myself just now.
Order No 1: Small quantities of a wide variety of snuffs (not too many at once) Order No 2: Small quantities of a more focussed variety of snuffs (guided by results of Order No 1) Order No 3: Larger quantities of the favourites Order No 4: Repeat sequence starting with another broad spectrum order I went crazy at first too, and ended up with a lot of crap lurking in drawers that I didn’t get along with. A few years down the line, having revisited them occasionally and still not enjoying them, I’ve taken to trying to mix them to try and make them usable. The stuff I’ve mixed, the stuff I’ve thrown out, and the stuff I’m still not sure what to do with equates to more than 1kg. If I’d have ordered a humongous amount in one order, I dare say there would have been even more that I didn’t like. I do however now have well over 60 snuffs (after cutting back) that I do like, with a dozen key snuffs in bulk. Luckily, I also appear to have “salvaged” most of the unloved snuffs by mixing them, but I’d still rather have had an extra 1kg of snuff that is fantastic rather than just Ok

Most important thing when planing a snuff collection is Air tight glass jars. Order direct if possible for the freshest snuff. If you have figured out your favorites buy the biggest package for better value. Sometimes reduced shipping is offered that is when to place big orders.

I’d order a sampler now, and like shaman says wait for reduced or free shipping.

I tend to minimize risk and make frequent small orders despite the shipping costs.i figure those are sunk costs anyway and consider them part of the cost of the snuff. Because snuff is so cheap anyway, in my mind i allocate the shipping over the number of items and it makes me feel a lil better to lie to myself that way. I order what i consume for the most part and always have a rotating reserve. Also, ive had better luck with delivery with orders~200g. The one time i made a massive order, it took nearly a month and was inspected. In addition, i feel like if i get a less than ammonia fresh product, i wont be stuck with massive amounts of it to revive and if theres spillage or theft, im not out that much.

That’s a good point. The only large order I’ve made was delayed and I had to pick it up at the post office. It made me a bit paranoid, like they were going slap bracelets on me once I signed for it. 
A good point well made by the shaman. Don’t order more snuff than you can accommodate in glass jars. I came unstuck with this recently, and had to throw out several tins that had succumbed to corrosion. I have also had to rehydrate several as I’ve been sorting through them.

I figured if you were considering placing a large order that you would necessarily be focusing on snuffs you liked as opposed to a wide range of totally unfamiliar ones. While I’m putting together a large order now, maybe 50g are entirely unknown to me, though I feel there’ll be far more hits than misses given reviews here on Snuffhouse and, in some cases, my experience with similar snuffs. @Chicago_CA You do raise a few good points that I hadn’t considered. I’ll have to break the order up and see if the difference in shipping is as significant as I’m thinking it would be. I’ve had no issues thus far, but wouldn’t want to tempt fate.

I ordered quite a few tins from there and they were all labeled with the pack date. Same month as my order, and very very fresh!

Maybe fulfilled by Mr. Snuff? The parcel shipped from Ireland. I’ve never seen the pack-date stickers on tins from Mr. Snuff until I ordered from that site.
