I’ve seen snuff mould, but the RR Mills Maccoboy I bought about 1.5 or 2 years ago from Nicotine Rush is doing something I’ve never seen before: the snuff is now full of what looks like hair, but I know it’s not hair. It looks like it has crystallized or something, but in a way that makes it look like it’s full of little hairs. Has anyone else ever seen anything like this, and does anyone know what it is?

I don’t know about something that looks like hair, but salt crystals will become visible when it dehydrates.

It’s a snuff werewolf. It happens sometimes with the the full moon.

look up mildew. moulds/mildew can often appear hairy. could just have taken hold. i also would like an image.

It won’t mold. Its very salty. I’ve had Maccoboys decades old and rehydrated them successfully.

Might be bloom.

Dont be frightened, just pinch some hairs and sniff it. Be sure let us know how it goes. >:)

I have the same snuff from nicotinerush 2 years old as well. Just opened it and its good as new.

I have some five year old Maccoboy in a four ounce jar and, like me, it has no hair. I would suspect fungus.
