Obviously…All snuffboxes are not alike. Some are wrapped tightly, some not. Some have everything under containment, some are like soup sandwiches. THIS IS A SNUFFBOX I UNFORTUNATELY LOST ON EBAY (and I snipped it too, but got out snipped ) I have a feeling a SH member bought it. Since rarely are no two vintage or antique snuffboxes are alike, I envy you! May you enjoy in solitude, a lifetime of snuff out of this snuffbox from the comforts of your home. But I beg of you, the current owner of this box, I ask that you contact your lawyer and update your will and leave it to me. If you do leave it to me and if you depart this earth before I, you will know that I am getting continued pleasure from this fine specimen of a snuffbox. Man do I hate when someone out bids at the last second.But that is the highest I was willing to pay.Still makes me hot they got it for a dollar more. Collectors read about the value of snuffboxes and drive us snuff users right out of the market. And there they sit on some shelf gathering dust not to be seen again till they pass on and their grandchildren toss them in the trash ,Having no idea there value!

Thats that best way to do it, “sniping” is really the only smart way to bid on items. Everytime you place a bid your driving up the cost of the item making it more expensive for you, so the only logical course of action is to place your bid in the last few seconds to do otherwise is just pissing your money away.

@asieg33 … Well worth the price… There was little activity on it… I shoulda sniped in at 150 … I set a snipe of 100 and got out sniped at 101…pissed
