Went to take a pinch earlier and noticed what looked like small specks that were reflecting light in my F&T SD. Haven’t noticed this before and this was transferred from the metal tin to a glass container about a month ago. Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Thanks

V

Salts. They can be visible even in super fresh snuff under good lightening, when you know what to look for ;). More of them appear with the moisture loss.

Thanks @volunge

Is it still ok to sniff snuffs where you can see the salt

V

Yes, if these are crystals of alkalizers. Just don’t sniff snuff, contaminated with tin corrosion compounds.
