Hey, I’m located in Durham, NC, and have been having a very difficult time finding snuff that isn’t along the lines of Tube Rose and Railroad Mills. Does anyone know of some shops that stock snuffs from other countries anywhere in North Carolina? It feels almost ironic that it’s so hard to find this stuff considering the state’s history with the tobacco crop. I don’t have a difficult time finding American Scotches at places like Food Lion and some of the tobacco bodegas around here, but I have yet to see anything that a JRs wouldn’t sell either.
Best to order snuff online , If you did find anything I am sure it wouldn’t be very fresh since the pact act was put into effect. Or offer up them to trade at https://snuffhouse.vanillaforums.com/discussion/6682/snuffhouse-marketplace-members-please-post-your-buy-sell-trade-requests-here#latest
That’s fair, I mean, I’ve had great success ordering from mrsnuff.com and all that. Does the pact act prevent tobacconists from selling the likes of Toque and Abraxas here in the states? Even still, I would be happy to know of a place in North Carolina that sells Silver Dollar even.
I have visited numerous tobacconists up and down the eastern seaboard, and never have I seen anything other than American scotch snuffs, and even those are rare. The only way the American companies are able to sell snuffs at all in the US is to claim they are marketing them as oral snuffs (odd but true). I suspect it would be well nigh impossible to find European/UK nasal snuffs in an American store. If anyone else has ever seen such a thing, feel free to correct me, but the sense is that anything that is distinctly manufactured and marketed as a nasal snuff is blocked from sale here.

Toque has a whole line of nasal snuff marketed towards the US and in some stores there as far as I know.
Any in North Carolina though?
Lil Brown has silver dollar and some wilsons but they don’t ship to NC. http://www.lilbrown.com/c-120-dry-snuff.aspx You can order directly from http://www.toquesnuff.com/gbu0-display/testimonials.html for silver dollar and others
I really do appreciate these links, but the whole reason I’m asking is because I want a brick and mortar store that can eat the shipping costs
http://stores.ebay.com/snusorycom?\_trksid=p2047675.l2563 asked for combine shipping, I got 20 different snuff from them, the shipping was cheap. If your going to drive to a BM you will probably use gas, unless you have a electric car. Best of luck finding a store if you do please list it;s location.https://snuffhouse.vanillaforums.com/discussion/7365/snuff-in-the-states/p1
I live in Asheville, NC which is quite a way from Durham. Our local Pipes Ltd. in the mall has Toque and Silver Dollar snuffs. They are pricier than online ordering but the selection is pretty good. Pipes Ltd. also has a store in Hickory which is just a wee bit closer to Durham-but not much. I know they cannot mail to you, but I will link their website in case you or anyone else finds themselves in the Asheville or Hickory area. pipesltd.com/ . I told the clerk about the resurgent interest in nasal snuff and he said he would mention it to the owner. Perhaps the selection will grow. They carry a lot of Toque varieties and just about all of the Silver Dollar varieties. I found Silver Dollar raspberry to be nice. B&B Tobacconist in Asheville is our best tobacco shop. They have somewhat less pipe selection than Pipes Ltd but they are not in a mall so you can have a seat at the Liar’s Bench and smoke to your content. They have a great humidor and selection of pipe tobacco. Unfortunately, they do not carry nasal snuff. Perhaps I should speak to them about that? They have some interesting house blends of pipe tobacco because one of the guys there loves perique so much. jbikman, I hit the local Food Lion (after reading on here) and grabbed a can of Superior snuff. It’s strong stuff but I like the smoky flavor it has. Other snuffs have a better taste but the dry Scotch snuffs are my morning hit for a heady dose of nicotine. It is also very inexpensive.
Hey, I know that spot in the mall, I used to buy my cloves for rollies there back when I still smoked! I’m really glad you shared that with me.
Odd that you can’t find Silver Dollar, at least. All the RYO stores here in Maine seem to carry it. Not that I’d pay a buck a gram any more, but it’s good snuff (and what I started with).
Like Basement Shaman mentioned, Snusory (on eBay, search “snus can”) has a great selection of German snuffs, at a good price, combined shipping, and no bullshit. And they take paypal.

The owner tells me she is closing the Asheville location. She’s tried to find a buyer but no one has stepped up. I will miss that store. Best inventory in the city and they carried a lot of non tobacco items like chess sets, flasks, lighters, etc. No one else in town has Toque or Silver Dollar.
That’s a shame. Are there other locations? Where else?
You may inquire your tobacco shop for some WoS I don’t know if they had changed their policy. See here>>>>>>> https://snuffhouse.vanillaforums.com/discussion/6582/wilsons-of-sharrow-usa-information#latest
