NicRush/SnuffGear/KannaSnuff and Mastercard for international customers

B

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: I can no longer accept Master Card as a payment option for international orders. MC is now requiring a fee of 1000.00 per year, (for international orders). Something I can’t afford. Paypal is available for non tobacco orders, (SnuffGear/KannaSnuff). If you wish to use paypal, please contact me for details. Tom (simplified explanation of the issue)

P

dam Tom. can it get any worse? Next they will take all our belongings from us and we’ll all be put in “camps”. Hang in there mate.

B

It’s all about tobacco. The fanatics will never stop.

O

Which is reason enough to stock up to the max. It wouldn’t surprise me if tobacco is banned soon (next few years). don’t think taxes will save us. Fecking health fascists.

B

It’s probably only a matter of time before the rest of the cc companies follow suit.

O

So how will we be able to order from you, NicoRush, if we cant use Visa? Paypal? Other? Please give us hope.

B

Hasn’t happened yet. last I heard, Visa wasn’t going along with it. Paypal does not allow the use of their service for tobacco.

M

“Aromatherapy Supplies”

B

Remember, this is just for international orders. (at least for now)

M

i am ready to start killing people. seriously. Do people have no regard for culture, small business and family farms? Makes me sick!

C

Silly capitalist credit card companies.

C

This is getting downright insane! Why can you not just say you are paying for “Good” or “Other” when using Paypal? I guess our caffeine is next…

B

I can no longer accept Master Card from ANYONE!

T

Pfft. Wow. Right when my bank decides to switch from Visa to Master Card. I must be wearing lipstick.

P

I thought you looked a tad more attractive than usual.

O

Bakdoor said - “I can no longer accept Master Card from ANYONE!” Is this due to fees or did they decide to join the paypal antitobaccites and be our big brother too?

B

“Non face to face master card tobacco transactions now require a yearly fee of 1000.00.” F*** em! This is a result of direct pressure from the anti tobacco fanatics. So far, all other cc companies have not bowed to the pressure. Tom

M

I don’t understand the anti tobacco people’s hatred. How does a person come to hate tobacco so much? If you don’t like it don’t use it. done. It isn’t a drug. It doesn’t cause social problems. I would think there is alot more important problems these people could focus their energy on. I think people who are indifferent to tobacco should be worried because whatever their ‘vice’ may be will be in their sights next. I think tobacco companies should try to prosecute anti tobacco people for libel. If you read any of these ‘studies’ the anti tobacco morons pay millions of dollars for to universities, they are obviously complete lies. Then they report them in the newspaper. That is libel plain and simple.

P

I pay for snuff via PayPal. The invoice from my supplier says “for services rendered” and that’s it.

O

I hope the paypal police aren’t reading this Uncle Pete. UGHH!, it’s one thing to be like paypal and adopt a no tobacco policy. Kind of stupid since I can’t see what it matters to them. It’s not their products or even their money. What are they worried about the “kids”? If a kid uses a cash card at the ATM to withdraw some money and buys weapons, drugs, porn or,…dare I say it aloud…tobacco, is the bank at fault? However, if no tobacco is their policy I can live with that. It is their right to conduct their business as they see fit. Now this is the part that really pisses me off! Are you telling me that mastercard has the same policy…sort of. They are basically saying, “we won’t support tobacco transactions…unless you grease our palms to the tune of $1000 dollars, then we look the other way.” It’s hard for me to put into words my feelings about this. The only worse example of “you’re going to bend over and like it” I’ve seen lately is the pact act absurdity of “no to all things tobacco…except cigars since we like those”. I still can’t believe no one gets shot when some idiots basically write into law what translates as “cigar smokers should not have to settle for the local selections, or pay local taxes, or pay the high premiums of brick and mortar stores…all other tobacco users can just f### off.”

@oneforheroad: I’m pretty sure both Paypal and Mastercard don’t care who uses tobacco. What they do care about is getting sued. They are motivated by only one thing, maximizing profit and limiting expenses. If some anti-tobacco fanatic parent finds out that their kid got hold of tobacco, you better believe they will blame every party from the grower all the way down the line, except for themselves of course. So they free themselves by a lot of liablility in this way. Presumably that’s less than the profit they would have by allowing such transactions. They would not have made that decision without going through the metrics & cost/benefit analysis. Now, the $1000 to allow it? Sure, you can look at it as a bribe, but in all likelyhood its some sort of insurance premium. Again the metrics would have been brought out, and some bean counter figured out that’s how much it would have to be “just in case” of a lawsuit. Now in all likelyhood such lawsuits would be on shaky ground, as anyone with any common sense who understands anything about law and personal responsibilty, etc would tell you. Nonetheless, the very act of getting sued will cost you money, even if you bear 0.00% responsibilty, and of course most cases are settled out of court anyway. In which case it is greasing palms, and they would pay to have the plaintiff drop the case. which is also factored into their costs of doing business. Then again, I could be wrong, and they do have fanatics running their company…

P

could it be that they are just greedy bastards?

A

Can you not just sell snuff boxes as curio boxes or pill pots? Look at the head shops online, most of their stuff is sold under some sort of double entendre clause. I mean buying mescaline cactus as ‘botanical research material’? I suppose its whether you feel right playing that silly game?

B

Xander pretty much ‘hit the nail on the head’.

T

I just love the fact that ppl BASICALLY try to tell us what to do with OUR money. Sort of passive aggressive IMHO

T

LOL politicians are sittin’ back, sippin’ on their gin & tonics, PUFFIN ON THEIR CIGARS, and counting all the tax money they collect from OTHER forms of tobacco (the ones they don’t use…) makes me sick. Someone’s gonna get shot some day… Oh, btw, if a kid picks up a credit card and buys tobacco online, that’s a WHOLE other matter. Lovely how the “think about the children” argument gets em everytime… …can you tell I’m angry about a few things? ha ha

O

@snuffster - paypal and mastercard don’t have a problem with snuffboxes or other paraphernalia, as long as there’s no tobacco involved in the transaction.

P

@transistor, if I remember correctly, some guys got shot already!
