One of the members posted the nicotine levels and speed of delivery of American Snuffs and I cant find it. Most people thought Rooster was the strongest, but it was not even in the top 5. I love good flavor and strong nicotine hit. Any suggestions as to what makes their mouth water and head spin concerning American Scotches?..Does anyone know where to find that thread with nicotine levels?
Bruton is at the top. Google Bruton’s nicotine strength and somewhere near the top is the WHO smokeless tobacco pdf with most american scotches.
@ravenhorse I assume the roster thing has to do with it’s scent or with the burn. It reminds me of how many people swear dark coffee has more caffine then lighter coffee because it tastes stronger. Perception is a powerfull thing.
good one Bob…great comparison. Thanx. Unfortunately it looks like Mr.Snuff stopped carrying a lot of the American Scotches. It must have just been a recent turn of events. Last week they offered twice as many as they do now!
Just about any scotch, sweetened or otherwise does the trick for me. i haven’t tried Bruton but if I get the chance to pick up a can I’ll have to look into it since I’ve heard even for scotches it is strong.
I have Bruton’s and Rooster on the way, but I haven’t tried them yet. I will say that the new FUBAR WP and SNAFU give me a hell of a kick. The WP does it in very, very small portions too.
Dogwalla, how does FUBARS WP and SNAFU taste. Im curious about Willie Pete. Tell me about it
@ravenhorse SNAFU is awesome. It’s a really fine plan tobacco as far as my nose can tell. It’s a similar grind to Toque Quit, but possibly even finer. It’s just good-old tobacco, and has a nic hit like a freight train. The WP is very interesting. I’ve never had a while before, so I don’t really know what to compare it to. The grind is like talcum powder, and it’s a very, very light tan. Pinching it must be done with some serious respect, or it will fly into your entire respiratory system and you will feel like you’re going to die. If you take it as a line with your favorite sniffer (mine’s a rolled dollar bill) you can take gobs of it really easily. Enough seems to float down into the nose to give me the same scent experience as the pinch method. The smell is…like the ocean? I grew up near a small marina, that has almost no fishing trade at all, but there was always that slight hint of fish in the air. Most of that (not that there was much) came off the jetty too as things would get stuck in it. The rest of the smell is hard to describe other than being like the marina I used to live near. The hit of marine life (small hint to me), an almost saltiness that used to come off the jetty when there was the afternoon on-shore breeze, and some other subtile notes I haven’t figured out yet. WP, at least to my nose, is very subtile, but I like that in a snuff. The fact that it brings back memories is pretty cool too, even if the scents associated with them sound a bit strange.
@dogwalla Where are you getting your Bruton from? Thanks to @distaind I was able to sample snafu and Bruton. Snafu is powdered awesomeness. I got a nic hit that surpassed a cigarette and was on the level of dip. I didn’t get any flavor from snafu because my brains were oozing out of my ears so I was more focused on that. Great short lived burn but does require care while sniffing. Again, thanks to @distaind, I have a whole array of american scotches to test. I love them all. Bruton has serious nicotine content with a nice tobacco flavor. All of the american snuffs I have tried have been very enjoyable and all have a noticeable nicotine presence. Funny thing, before I went to bed last night I had a couple of pinches of Devoe Sweet and I woke up at 4 in the morning craving that flavor. That has never happened to me before with a snuff. The sweetness that American scotches have is so comforting. I find myself enjoying the smokiness as well which is a surprise. @howdydave had mentioned in another thread that newbies looking for a strong snuff need not look any further than american scotches, and I would agree. (paraphrasing) So I would say Snafu or any of the American snuffs would satisfy any nic craving and I have a very high tolerance.
Once you become accustomed to taking snuff as a primary source of vitamin N, I doubt you will need to look for snuffs with higher content of it. A bigger pinch is all it takes for me. However, I think Dragun is supposed to have a higher level of the drug
@BigDaddySnuff I haven’t gotten it yet. My shipment of it and Rooster are still on the way. It will be interesting to see what a scotch is like. I guess they ship out of a different place than some of the others, so it seems to be a few days behind.
@Dogwalla from Mrsnuff?

You’ll also find that cigs don’t do it for you. They’re actualy pretty weak compared to snuff as long as you don’t pussy foot around it (like a kitty cat).
@BigDaddySnuff Of course!
@bob absolutly, i find my itch is not scratched untill i take a big old snoot-even after smoking a few cigs.
@bob cigies even make me congested, especially in combination with snuff. But snuff alone will keep me breathing very clearly. Most people should know, the longer you use snuff the more your body becomes accustomed to absorbing the vitamin N.
additionaly cigarettes kill cillia in your windpipe (big science word sorry). so it’s more likeily if you smoke cigs your snuff will go down your throat and get closer to your lungs which will iritate your more make your nose want to reject snuff making it less enjoyable. Or why Vito got congestted from cigs.
