These work great for carrying your schmaltzer in. I am trying to get away from chewing tobacco as my wife is disgusted with my spitting into my beard and down my shirt. not a very good image I am afraid. So I am trying to switch to totally using all nasal snurffs. These tins are great for a coarser tobacco snuff but sometimes the dry dusty types leak out some. Hope it helps…about 3 bucks. Yesterday i found these at a garage sale and they work fine for carrying I do like the pinch method better than dumping on back of my hand that these lil flasks cause you to use…a one ounce flask. got mine 11 for $5, and yes I am gonna use each of em. gotta use a popsickle stick thats whittled down to shovel snuff into them.

anyone but me ever have any problem with the POSCHL brazil getting a bit grainy? What i mean to say is, I throw in a touch of whiskey or rum and it clumps up only to get a bit fluffed up and then gets clumpy again. I swear i need to get myself a blasted mortar and pestle for it. I love the scent, and the fact it is not flour particles like WE GARRETT, but after all, its like stuffing corn meal up your schnoz…any ideas and suggestions?

GB, first time i tried both Brazil and Sudfruckt i was horrified by the grainyness of them.  I find Sudfruckt the most grainy and initially i thought i would have to throw the stuff…but fast forward a few months and now its no problem.  Having read this forum i found people really wern’t kidding when they say take large quantities of this in one go, until you pretty much cant snuff anymore. I take three big pinches each nostril minimum.  I’m fairly new to snuff, so you may know all of this already.  I just find with these quantities grainyness or clumps are not so important anymore and now i get the whole schmalzler thing.  Sorry if i’m telling you how to suck eggs, just my two cents.

How do you normally take it? Try the boxcar method, and load that thumb up with as much as you can fit. If you spoon it on or tap from a box you won’t get the grains too squashed together, which makes it easier to take.

Next time it gets all dried out and corn meal sized again, I am going to covertly use our lil electric coffee grinder and grind it up finer…we shall see how that works…dont tell the mrs though…hehehe
