Hi all, When using the pinch method how do you keep the snuff from packing under your fingernails…or is this the secret sign to identify other snuffers you meet?
i dont tend to have a problem, just with my deformed thumbnail when i boxcar. when pinching my finger/thumbtips start at probably the furthest point apart.then as im pinching the snuff is pushed down or into my pinch, none really touches my nails.
@gryffandor First off welcome to Snuffhouse.org ,The Pinch is just that, you don’t plunge into the snuff with a downward attack , you use the middle finger and thumb and you start at the widest point of the snuff box and close the gap,compressing snuff between these digits and warming it prier to insufflating, Raise it just under the nostril and slowly release the snuff by rubbing the pinch until gone and repeat with other side, Dust off crumbs and enjoy. I only pinch the finest of snuffs like hdt and hops, I use boxcar for most of my snuff although I employ a spoon often too. I assume course/ moist snuff would stay under a nail unless you snuff like a shop vac.
Keep your nails trimmed to. That helps
