It is good practice and useful in many forums to have a newbie/beginner category. Somewhere for example where someone new to snuff can post stuff without having to search exhaustively to see whether their question has been answered before, or is just too basic. Old timers and experts can either just ignore anything posted there, or jump in and help if they wish. Other newbies can support each other as they wish.

Without this (on any forum), the ‘justified ancients’ can seem a bit intimidating.

Just delete the question mark in the name of this thread, and we’ll have it ;-).

Now seriously, there’s a pretty high chance it sinks down pretty fast, unless pinned by mods.
