LoL, no. I live in a small Kansas town, and I’m in process of moving to an even smaller Kansas town. Moving is eating up any road trip money I might could come up with.

Great we have 2 people total lined up. Let me know who else is in the area can come. It will be fun. If you have suggestions on where you want to go let me know, I always think Greenwich Village. It has cool shops and good food. Also, the right attitude.

Let’s figure out a date that we all can come. If we have to wait it is no problem. We all have funds issues with this economy. How about August 2nd, it is a Sunday? It give all of us 1.5 months to get a few bucks together.

OK, How about Aug 9? Also, Maybe we can find out when Roderick will be in New Orleans and ask him to fly home through New York. I would be happy to pick him up and drop him back at the airport.

I was just there today. I’ll be back in NYC the end of August. If you guys can wait til then, we can meet in my hotel room at the W in midtown.

It’s a chain of upscale hotels. They have one close to me, I’ve never been, but I heard they’re very cool.

@zonesix Do you know the dates yet for your next visit to NYC? We will try to build the meet around your schedule so we can use your W Hotel room. If anyone does not know the W Hotel in NYC, pleased google it and you will see. I personally own the “W Bed” which is a matteress/box spring that is the same as they use in the hotel. It is the greatest bed I have owned.

Depending on when in the summer, I might be able to head on down to the city and lead some people around.  Not exactly a local, but depending on what you want to do and where you want to go, I may suffice. 

Offtopic:  I’ve no clue why, but Xander’s post is currently showing up with a white background that makes things absolutely unreadable. I had to quote the post in order to see what he was saying.  Anyone else, or just a quirk to Ubuntu’s current version of Firefox?

Now @Slide’s last post is doing it for me too.  Weird.  I guess we should file a bug report or something.  Does snuffhouse have a bug reporting system?  Eh, I’ll just trust Xander to pass the word on.

Ok, I know what it is, but I can’t see it. Mods have the ability to “promote” a post. Apparantly only the mod that promoted the post can unpromote it. I did it to slide’s as an experiment and have now undone it. Odd that I can’t see any difference even when signed out. I think we may drop the “promote” feature. It was just an experiment anyway.

Good to know, thanks.  Anyway, let me know when you might be around and what you’d like to do.  I may be away for a decent part of the summer, but if I can’t make it, I’ll give you guys as much warning as I can.
