New Toque Flavors coming out on Monday! Excited?

B

I just ordered some bulk bags of snuff from Roderick and he rewarded me with the information that on Monday, April 20, 2009 there will be new flavors to the Toque line. “There are 3 traditional styles - Lavender, Rose, Violet and the not so traditional Toque Coke.” Roderick wrote. I have to tell you Toque Coke is a very exciting concept if it can be flavored up to what we expect from Roderick. G&H Cola leaves me wanting a new cola. What do you think?

C

I think that he might not have wanted you to spill the beans But since you did, I’m pretty excited about the Cola flavor, since Gawith Cola is out of production.

J

As f i need an excuse to get some more Toque.

C

Yeah, look what they have been doing to those Zero guys.

B

it smells like the other coke the coke snuff that came in three flavours. Yup imagine them all mixed together yummy.

B

Actualy the florals have me really excited actualy can’t wait to try them. Especialy the rose and lavander

X

Ha! I knew he would do florals next!

S

I hope that wasn’t meant to be a secret!? It will be interesting to see how the lavender and rose snuffs compare to the Wilsons examples, and the violet with the McChrystals variety.

T

The florals are great especially the Lavender

J

There goes my paycheck :). Usually it takes some time for the new flavors to appear on the site , so when can you start assaulting you for those Roderick ?

M

Will they be at the stateside vendors the same time? I’d like to get some small tins first, locally. I’m deciding which flavors to order bulk. So far, spanish gem and bourbon for sure.

B

Roderick, Forgive me if I spilled the beans. You did not mention that you wanted to keep this a secret so I shared with the Snuffhouse gang. I am looking forward to your new flavors. You can count me as a customer.

S

Can’t wait to try the rose! Roderick, are you reaching out to the lady buyer with these or is this harkening back to the day when a gentleman wasn’t ashamed to take violet snuff in company?

S

Well done! Best wishes for a thriving successful business!

S

Coke??? We are British old chap, where’s the dandelion and burdock?!? only messing - actually dandelion and burdock could make quite an interesting snuff.

L

The Coke is absolutely wonderful. The flavor is great, and it lasts a long time. Violet is my favorite of the florals, but all 3 are great. I’ll be ordering first thing Monday.

X

Are you really allowed to call it “Coke?” This is lame. I may have to lift my snuff buying moratorium.

S

Very excited and looking forward to trying the 3 florals, I think I’ll be passing on the “Coke” as much as it sounds (and will most likely be) another great Toque creation.

T

I don’t think I like florals, but a good cola I might. I like the Gawith Cola. Does the Toque one have any menthol with it?

C

I hope that Cola is not menthol. I wonder what time the new one’s will be posted? Midnight UK time? That would be great, since they are 5hrs ahead.

T

New pleasures! (Rubs hands in glee) ;-D

J

I too hope the cola is not mentholated. I am also hoping that the rose is somewhere in between Macoboy and Macouba in the amount of rose scent. I have not had a violet snuff yet so I will have to try it.

X

I’m still waiting for the website to update so I can order. I wonder how late I will stay up. Its about a quarter past midnight here on the US east coast.

L

@ Tom, Stokes, and Jarhog. The Coke has no menthol in it.

J

Cool Leman

X

ok Roderick, since you’re here, I’ll ask. Where are the new ones? The site hasn’t changed since last night.

X

7:50 am east coast US. No sign of new Toque snuffs. Need to sleep. You win this round Lawrie. But I’ll be back! Bwah hahahahahahaaaha!

S

Lol! Don’t forget it’s Monday 12:30 GMT here in the UK.

B

Roderick, You must still be chasing them!

P

I’ve checked the Toque site 111,239 times today…no new flavours yet!!! I want to place my order!!

C

Here is a link to the tin selection. They are not listed on the front of the site yet.Toque

W

I’ve put my order in for the new flavours, I can’t wait to try them especially the Coke flavour. Stefan

C

I have a feeling that the “Coke” name isn’t going to last long.

S

@ cstokes4, Why Not?

C

COKE

S

They tried to stop soft drinks firms using Cola, but it didn’t work over in the UK! Besides it isn’t a drink, it’s a snuff dry product. Sorry for the pun Lol!

T

Why not make a lemon lime snuff and call it 7up? I agree, I would not have used a name that a well known trademark. Now Cola is just as good.

M

cstokes4, are you refering to trademark issues or illegal drug references? Maybe I’ve been in Miami too long…

C

You think Miami is bad, come to Orlando for a bit… I was talking about the trademark. I don’t think that it matters what type of product it is, Coca-Cola still owns the name “Coke”.

P

I’ve just now placed my order for some Violet and Lavender plus some other goodies.

S

“Coca-Cola still owns the name “Coke””. Then are the responsible for the illegal drug?

X

Coke is actually a coal by product. So no one can own the word “coke” anymore than they can own the word “coal.” Coca-Cola is nicknamed ‘Coke’ so they subsequently adopted it and trademarked it. That trademark may only apply to people using it they way they write their logo. Remember there was a “cökesnuff” once upon a time. The illegal drug has been given the slang name ‘coke’ also, but how can anyone control a slang word? Now when you make a Coke Snuff and make it Cola flavored, that’s a grey area. Who know what Coca-Cola’s reponse will be. I suspect they will ignore it unless Roderick makes a fortune on it. Also, I suspect Roderick discussed this with his lawyer ahead of time.

S

@ Xander, Only baiting you, Lol!..True. But we had a chap locally called Ronald and he opened up a burger bar named MacRonald’s. The big chain came down on him. He changed his name to MacRonald by deed pole and then put two fingers up at them!

T

In the US we use 1 finger.

S

That as started over here now, but 2 fingers was a English and French thing to begin with.

P

Do you know where the finger sign comes from? In the days when an argument was settled by the sword and the argument wasn’t very serious, the winner would only chop off the loser’s middle finger in stead of killing him. When the bystanders noticed that one of the fighters was losing, they would put up their middle fingers towards him, indicating that his finger was “on the block”.

B

I thought it was started when enemy bowmen were captured they cut off their middle fingers to prevent them from pulling their bowstrings back, and those with middle fingers were raised as a haha we have our fingers and can shoot you. Not sure where exactly I had read this.

S

BigSnoot, You Have it in one… F**K The French!

S

It was in battles with us British, and the French. By The Way; I’m considering giving the Independence back to the Americans, the American the Red Indians, I mean. Native America should I say? Chief Sitting Bull is dancing up there, can you hear the drums.

P

Dave, your story sounds more plausable than mine!!! I buy it

P

Check en.wikipedia.org/wiki/finger (gesture)

X

So I took your bait Snuff Head. I guess i’m easily baited. We had a few similar incidents here with fast food chains. One guy named Kennedy had a little shop called “Kennedy Fried Chicken” his sign looked very much like the giant Kentucy Fried Chicken. He got away with it for years, but this year finally had to change it to “New York Fried Chicken” We also have a pizza chain called “Papa John’s” A small hole in the wall place made a similar logo for his sign and called it Mom’s Pizza. They found him, shut him down, took a few years. There are plenty more stories like this.

S

@ Xander yes I think it is when you make the sign, ‘Trade Mark’ so similar, then you can be in trouble. You could be then said to deceive people.

X

Yeah, but Coca-Cola would have to prove that in court. I don’t think anyone is being decieved thinking they buy Toque Coke and its something to drink. But yet its flavored like coke, so… I don’t know. Its a grey area. Let the lawyers sort it out.

S

Just still laughing at New York Fried Chicken, don’t sound right, lol, lol! By the way there is a big outlet over here that does the chicken with herbs called Southern Fried Chicken. Don’t know if it is American or British.

X

Yeah, I took a double take when I saw the new sign. New York? I don’t know why he went with that. Maybe he’s from there. I haven’t eaten his chicken in years, but it was pretty good. As far as I know we don’t have an outfit called Southern Fried Chicken, but that’s a common dish in many resatuarants. Its as ordinary a name as I guess Fish and Chips must be there.

S

We should have been in that chat room, but It’ late must sleep. 23:53 BST. Bye.

B

So anyone have any reviews of the florals yet? Not a big fan of florals as most can be overpowering and completely mask the tobacco and linger too long, but am curious as to how these are set up.

A

I was lucky enough to try them before their release. They are gorgeous and I will be adding them to my rotation. This is a great move in my view, there is no reason for any doubt as to whether they fit in with a modern snuff company’s portfolio, they are just more great flavours added to an already very good menu. I think they fill one of the two gaps in Roderick’s product range, the remaining one is a standard, unflavoured HDT. When this arrives, asI hope it will, Toque will have the entire English snuff range. Maybe one day we will see schmaltzers and more European style snuffs, but hopefully I will get my HDT before that?..

E

Not forgetting a KB…

T

Choco-mint, and Banana

A

I forgot KB as I dont use it! Its debatable what a true Scotch is Bigblue. In Britain, the term was interchangeable with Irish as they were more or less the same thing, there was also ‘Welsh’ snuff, which was again the same type of product, although there is nothing on the market these days with that name to my knowledge. Nowadays, ‘Scotch’ seems to mean US snuff. I hope he produces one of those at some point in the future as well. I loves me Garrett.

J

O.K. I must admit I’m getting a little exited. I think the mailman knows it too.

X

This Coke is awsome. I agree. I can’t keep these new ones out of my nose. Best snuffs I’ve had in a while. Rose in me now.
