As some of you will have discovered we have introduced a new full screw thread 25g tin, with a stay fresh seal, in the last couple of months. I just wondered what folks thought of them? 

My test ones (left on the windowsill for 3 months) appear to have faired very well and even retain the ammonia aroma of a fresh unopened tin. They also appear stronger than the old ones.

Hoping my tin of Christmas Pudding is in one.  I might have to do a big re-order soon.  

I ordered some W&H and Peanut Butter that came in the new tins recently. They certainly are stronger and have a secure feel to them. Time will tell about freshness. They sure seem to seal well. By the way thanks for your follow up on my lost order. You are a fine businessman.Are you looking into the same for your teners?

I like them quite a bit. Very secure and durable too.

Finally, I can get Cheese & Bacon in the larger keep fresh tin!!!  Seriously though, I love the design of your little 10g tins.  Glad to hear of the improvement to the larger size.  I’ve found a couple of your blends to be quite to my liking, Lime Toast, Natural Toast, Berwick Brown and Spanish Gem are all destined for permanent homes in my collection.

Oh, and I actually kind of like Cheese & Bacon.  I mean, I’ll grant you, it is different, not sure I’d need more than 10g around at a time though.

My Xmas Pudding is indeed in a new tin.  I love them, I think I’ll reorder the whole line in these tins.  

Looks like these really are a great improvement on the old tins. We also plan to change the 10g tins to the new design.  

That would be great Roderick.  I have quite a few tins that are very leaky, these new screw downs are a vast improvement. 

I’m pretty sure my tins are the old ones. Could you post a picture? Just curious.

If not at some point my curiosity will be satisfied but all my latest orders have been bulk.

Old large tins weren’t too bad compared to small ones but progress is good, especially for people who store snuff for longer term.

I want to see them!  Are there any pictures floating around…?

Not having a camera around I’ve scanned some tins. The 10g is a sample and as far as I remember, they won’t have a knurled bottom and be similar to the 25g tins.
