Currently I smoke about a pack to 23 cigs a day, newport regular menthol. My family has plenty of lung cancer so I know I’ll regret it. In addition I’m engaged to be married and she absolutely hates drinking, tobacco, etc… I’m young enough that it’s embarrassing to get winded walking up a hill or trying to down a cig fast inconspicuously… It will be far easier taking a sniff. I already have Wilson’s natural snuff on my list… But I need a good menthol and I can’t decide. So to sum it up I’m brand new to snuff and haven’t even placed my order yet, I plan to buy disposable tissues at the local store as I hate carrying around snot rags. However I can’t decide on my menthol snuff, I’m leaning towards toque menthol at the moment… But I’m looking for a snuff similar to newport oddly enough. Newport to me feels around 60% tobacco with that undertone of 40% menthol… And that’s the type of menthol snuff I’m trying to find. Also based off my cigarette intake compared to other users how many grams a day of snuff would be an equivalent. Thank you

umm decisions decisions eh …:~) Well firstly there are plenty of menthol snuffs out there, both plain and scented, The amount you use will vary on yourself and the snuff you use, others on here who use menthol snuff (to many other great tobaccos and wonderful scents for me to take menthol,. but each to their own, and their are many wonderful menthol snuffs out there, there jusy not my first choice) Toque are a great choice for all there snuffs , do let us know how you get on, and importantly , don’t give up on your first snuff, and don’t bin it if you don’t like it! you will find “your” snuff , but in inevitability takes a while …

Toque Menthol is invigorating, at least for me. However, from what I have gathered in researching snuff and menthol, the two mixed together is usually pretty potent…then again, I’m new to snuff myself.

I can’t help you with menthol snuffs, because I can’t stand them (or menthol cigarettes), but I do have one piece of advice for you as a new snuffer: Big pinches! It seems counter intuitive, but bigger pinches are easier to take, and are the only way of getting enough nicotine to quash your desire to smoke. Others will be along shortly to advise you on menthols. Welcome to the club.

And remember you can mix … If ordering from toque, a tin of natural means you can mix that with the menthol, or any other menthol you fancy ,., the Christmas pudding (clove) blueberry menthol, Camphor and clove and cherry menthol are worth getting. I’ve decided on the toque menthol like originally planned, the idea to mix if they get too strong is a good idea. I might be able to find a good balance between mixing the two. I just placed an order over at vaporzone for around 70 bucks no problem ( can’t get enough help to quit smoking ) and I just tried to place an order at mrsnuff.com for only around 25 USD shipped and it keeps getting rejected. I’ll call my bank in the AM regardless ( 6 pm now ) however has any other people ordering mrsnuff.com from America experienced this? Thanks to all for the help. Ok I figured it out finally! For some reason it wanted me to put my visa in the worldwide section?? I’ve never seen this before and it did prevent me from ordering for a few hours. If anyone from America is having problems please try " worldwide " payment even if you have a visa or MasterCard. Maybe I’m not used to ordering internationally but it definitely confused me. I kept trying to choose " visa or master card " Tin of Wilson’s natural and toque menthol is on the way. Only 10G tins to start but I’m excited to trade away my cig habit!

I had this problem too with my iPhone but since they added the mobile site option a few weeks ago my order went thru fine.

The funny part is I’ve still spent under the price of an America carton of cigarettes even with shipping included. I used to use in just One week a carton. They sell newports local for 110 USD a carton. Between the vape and the snuff it will last me a month+. I’ve been getting robbed by lorillard and the state long enough.

Keep in mind that it takes a little time for your body to adjust to snuff. I use both snus and snuff and for me getting off smokes was effortless with this combo but everyone is not the same. Good luck with it.

Great advice from everyone, as usual. I’ll throw my penny’s worth in; try ordering directly from Toque (no problems in US) and give their 10 for 9 ten gram tins offer a shot. Good bargain and a nice little snuff buffet to play with.

Thank you and Yes I’ve heard good things about both mr snuff and of toque direct. I have to be honest when I say I’m preparing for it to be uncomfortable at first. However I’ve been using vapor e cig disposables they are horrible and don’t work for quitting smoking. Criss cross menthol was ok but I still didn’t like the price or selection. I ordered a vaporizer that’s refillable with an array of E liquids and it’s on the way to simulate smoking… But nothing beats real plant matter for me even if it’s not totally healthy. Which is why I landed on snuff. The odd part for me is I didn’t really know of snuffs existence until a few days ago. I did know of " American dip " and I don’t like it. The word " snuff " popped into my brain without any prior knowledge while I was laying down to rest with my eyes closed. I’m fairly logical so I assume I must have seen it somewhere before and I’ve been wanting to quit cigs for awhile… or maybe I just thought snuff was a decent word for sniffable tobacco. Me being here originated subconsciously nonetheless. After reading about snuff recently I’ve seen a ton of collections over the internet as well as non tobacco snuffs and fairly heavy users. I plan for it to be my secondary source of real nicotine after E liquid… Or if I can’t vaporize. Here for example you can’t smoke vaporizers anywhere you can’t smoke cigs even though they’re the equivalent to inhalers with nicotine.

I agree with @willc - your body will take time both for your nose to become accustomed to snuff and for your brain to get used to the idea that nicotine now comes from snuff, not cigarettes. I have not quit smoking, but I have halved the amount I smoke, and could easily do better than that with no discomfort. I made this change literally overnight. The trick was to absolutely spin myself out with nicotine using snuff. That seemed to kickstart my brain into believing that it could get plenty of nicotine from snuff. The epiphany was of course when I finally persuaded myself to take BIG pinches

You may find that, although you like menthol in cigarettes, that doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to like it in snuff. I don’t like it in either, but it’s practically a coincidence. I ordered 1 Wilson’s natural along with the toque menthol. Have you ever tried it? Yes I believe menthol all the time up the nose to start would be off putting

I have indeed tried Wilson’s natural. It’s a nice plain tobacco flavor and I expect you’ll like it. If you don’t like it on its own, it makes an excellent mixer to tone down a strong scented snuff.

My vaporizer just arrived, very nice stuff. Not sure how big the snuff community is on vapes but it seems promising. Carmel vanilla tobacco flavored e liquid… Low nic content Mrsnuff still processing but if and when it ships I’ll be ready. I’m hoping the nicotine buzz will come on fast, vaping is a slow descent
