So I got my small yet satisfying snuff order in the mail today. I got a 50g tin of 5 Photos Himalaya, WoS Crumbs of Comfort, Toque Blueberry, and Railroad Mills Checkerberry. I also got a zebra wood snuff box from PC and now I see why it’s so wonderful to have a snuffbox and not just plastic smash boxes. It just adds a whole new dimension to the snuff hobby. Gotta say that Himalaya is pretty crazy, it just smells like India and its wonderful. The Checkerberry is great too just like the gum I favor so much. How do people dip it though? Method, technique? The CoC is just outstanding as well. I finally see why people enjoy it so much. Got some ammonia to it right now but I think Im gonna mix it with some Toque Original and a little Checkerberry and put it in my new snuffbox Haazahh!
If CoC is outstanding, why mix it ? The mix you suggest sounds TERRIBLE, as well. PS: You don’t dip snuff, you sniff snuff. There is some dip referred to as snuff, like Grizzly, but I sure wouldn’t wouldn’t put that sh*t up ny nose.
@Z_2K I believe a lot of people do dip American Scotch snuff though. @giaach As for how you go about that, I have no idea, can’t stand the stuff
@Z_2K In regards to Checkerberry I don’t think you know what your talking about buddy, do some thread searching. And mixing snuffs does not imply that they are “TERRIBLE” it just means they compliment other snuffs and vice versa. Thanks for the two cents though, it’s a real gem…
Although I agree that mix does sound terrible lol one can mix there snuff however they wish. As for dipping, the checkerberry is a decent dip you just have to kind of pour some in the bottom lip, first few tries are always messy but worth a shot.
This mix is indeed kinda bad haha it didn’t work out as I expected. Oh well…
I just used a little spoon I got with the two Bernards that come in a cardboard box, I think they’re Offenbacher Cardinal and Gekaltcher Virginie, or some such names. Need to leave in a minute, so I can’t really look them up and don’t have them on hand. Just scooped a little out, and dropped it in my lip with the spoon. I’m not really a fan of dipping scotches though, I like them better in my nose. I find them too messy to take out, and not nearly as enjoyable.
Well, Checkerberry isn’t really a scotch. However, its quite easy to dip, just scoop it in with a spoon or what have you. Some people pour out a portion onto the lid and then pull the lower lip out and pour it in.
Got a lip of checkerberry in and wow this stuff tastes good and a little goes a long way… Haven’t felt a buzz like this in over a year damn!
Yeah, it rates high in the unprotonated department.
@Xander unprotonated?
free based
ahhh I’m no chemist so I got a little confused.
I have a bunch of different snuffs I made that have been sitting around aging for about six months.
I ran out of smash-boxes to use as little snuff experiments so unfortunately I must empty a tin soon…ha
Yes, I hate to rush a maturing snuff.
Sounds like a good order! Where did you order from? The 5 photo himalaya has Been outta stock on mr snuff for a long time.
@EricHill78 I believe that Nicotine Rush has 5 Photo Himalaya in stock
@n9inchnails you would be correct on the Nicotine Rush assumption. That is where I placed my order because I really wanted some of the Checkerberry snuff and also a snuffbox but I just couldn’t wait for an order from the EU sorry Mr Snuff… I will place an order very soon. Anyway, regarding the snuffs I purchased, I have to say the CoC by WoS is very nice and it’s quite mild so I can see why people suggest it for newbies. My only tiff with it is that it’s not very complicated and I rather enjoy a more complex snuff. The Checkerberry is nice but I actually prefer it in the lip, but only in small pinches. ( I don’t do the spoonful method) instead I take a nice size pinch and place it in my lower lip and it not only stays there, but delivers a nice clean wintergreen taste and a good nicotine hit. The 5 Photo Himalaya is really outstanding but it can be a bit cloying. While I love the aroma and the complexity of the snuff, it does tend to be a little much if used over and over.
So… what snuff went into the box?
