I have added a chat widget to the site, check the bottom of the site. Let me know your thoughts!

Chris … where is it located? I don’t see it … maybe i need to log out and log back in? Note - just logged out and back in - still not chat i can discern.

@snuffbrant: It’s at the bottom of the page, see the screenshot. I know there have been issues with some folks not being able to see some things, hope this isn’t one of those things.

Good widget, it’ll be interesting to read some chat from our members. The page responds fast as always.

Yes, so far there is no lag on my end as well. If anyone has issues with visability or lag, please post it here.

Sorry, Chris, I still do not see it. Think it has to do with me using Chrome? Will check IE… nope, no IE either.

I’m on Chrome and it shows up here. Time to get a new computer, @snuffbrant!

@snuffbrant I am using IE here at work and use Chrome at home, I don’t think it’s a browser issue. I am forwarding this thread to Vanilla, I’ll see what they say. Might also be a java plugin issue.

Ah … yeah … no new computer here, it’s my laptop from work. And Chris, it’s no biggie if it is not fixable on my end. Chat for me could be dangerous i may not edit myself … cheers!

It’s still an issue for other members. @Lincoln with Vanilla notified me that some of my HTML code was wrong (not surprised )

So that’s where that popping noise has been coming from.

Yeah, I’ve closing windows and webpages for like the last 15 minutes thinking it was from some annoying advertisement somwhere or something.

Sorry, there is a little speaker icon on the bottom left where you can mute the chat.

I closed the whole chat. Seeing the posts moving below was distracting. I hope I only closed it from my perspective, and didn’t close it on those that were using it.

help. looks like it worked temporarily, using a temporary name feature (onefortheroad). but now it won’t let me sign up as a chatango member (says screen name is taken) and won’t let me use temporary name feature either (says sorry this name is )?! this name is what? it worked a few minutes ago!

@onefortheroad, when signing up you may have to alter your name a bit with a number or something…

Great feature, I guess now I can be a live social creature. If reading while smoking and snuff use hasn’t enriched my world. Now I can interact live. It’s not my birthday but thanks @cstokes4
