New 6 Photo Epicurian Snuffs

Mr. Snuff has recently listed a new line of 6 Photo snuffs: Epicurean Carvery, Sofrito, Sunday Roast, and Water Fowl. It is clear that @EricPerlinger had a hand in creating these, and they are obviously bespoke creations for Dave’s operation like the Snuv and Simply Snuff lines, also made by 6 Photo, but without the cringey sophomoric branding.

Has anyone had a chance to give them a go yet? I am honestly not the biggest fan of most Indian scented snuffs in general (although some of the naturals are typically quite nice), and will be holding off on trying anything in the Epicurean line until hearing a word or two about how they are.

So, if anyone happens to give them a go, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Hello Demigros! This snuff is certainly of my design. It is meant to to taken with food and is not traditional in any way. If you want to take a small risk, try the Sofrito. It is designed to go with Italian or Mediterranean food. I think it is great with either spaghetti Bolognese or lasagna.

Thank you very much. I will give it a go!

It’d be useful if the Sofrito reviews were actually for Sofrito and not Begum Green.

I think I’ll be picking up one or two of these - definitely Water Fowl

If you do, let us know what you think. After re-reading the descriptions, I think I am going to take a pass on trying any of them right now.

Bad reviews all over.

Potential re-imagining?

Just for the record, I was once taken by surprise how pleasantly the flavour of the fried onions mingled with the smell of Madras snuff which my nose happened being packed with while making a dinner.

I found a similar thing having taken a pinch of 6P French Riviera after picking rosemary. As a rule though I try and avoid pinching with grubby hands, following a long ago incident with diesel and a tin of F&T Macouba.

Those poor fish. Perhaps Simon will end up unwittingly revisiting it again at one of Whitby’s chippies.
