Alright, I’m looking at tracking down a certain type of snuff box. They’re round, I think they’re German, they’re wooden; they’re twist top; yes. That’s about all I know. Also, anyone have any experience with these boxes?

I think @ermtony has one or more. He might be able to speak to their functionality. They are quite beautiful.
Yes, I have a couple of those. Very nicely made and they seem to be pretty well airtight, having the screw lid. The larger ones make good table boxes and the smaller ones fit comfortably in the pocket. In the pictures, the first (bocote wood) is a great pocket box, holding less than 5g of snuff. The next (ebony and pepper wood) will take nearer 10g and works for pocket or table and the last (ebony and elm root), holding around 20g, is definitely a table box. All very nicely made and usable.
and if you’re a giant the large one makes a great pocket box.
Those look wonderful, I still havn’t gotten one yet, I remember putting it on my to-do list last time somone posted these tins.
I have two of them in nearly daily useage and they are wonderful and very stylish.
