I ordered Grand Cairo in 260 grams. Cancelled. I was told to select something else. Ideas?
From who? From the revised/reduced line up, or from a stockist who has a lot of the now discoed stuff? What type of stuff do you tend to like from other UK producers?
I just received an email from MrSnuff. My order was placed early January. I was told that Grand Cairo was no longer available in 260 grams. I tend to like non mentholated snuffs. Grand Cairo was my first true snuff love. I bought it based on reviews on the MrSnuff website. I have an order in for 260 grams of chocolate orange. Hope that one doesn’t get cancelled as well.

I love choc orange, and I’m sad to see it go. I hope they can fulfil that one for you. Unfortunately Wilsons have stopped doing the half pound drum, so you’re limited to whatever Dave has on the shelf. Other favourites of mine which are now discoed include Rum and Blackberry, Irish Coffee, Thyme and Lemon. For the more elaborate snuffs there’s Royal George, Kendal Brown (not like the Gawith versions), Morlaix and Strasbourg. I’d try to pick one of the discontinued snuffs if possible (stock permitting) as Grand Cairo is continuing, so you’ll always be able to order a full one pound drum of that at a later date
With bulk, MrSnuff sometimes order from Wilsons only when you place and order with them. If that’s the case, you won’t get anything in 260g tubs, as they won’t do them at the mill. You’ll also be limited to the new list of snuffs. The good news is that you can order a full large tub of GC instead of half of GC and half of Choc Orange. The only Choc Orange which seems to be continuing so far is Jaxons Chocolate Tangerine by SG, but that’s only available from a different site
The email was quite vague as to a solution. I’m awaiting a reply.
@JJ Might have to adapt and overcome as I’m starting to do. Idea: Get the tried and true Chocolate from Toque (I prefer the original over the USA )version. Get some Orange snuff (I prefer Ozaona Orange) or another brand. Start small and find that ratio combo. Result: Chocolate-Orange snuff that you made and like! I’m trying this with plain tobacco and my son’s vast variety of natural flavoring for soda pop he makes. Peanut butter banana and chocolate bannana are in the cask as we speak. My first attempt at a bubblegum snuff didn’t turn out as expected but my second I know will definitely turn out better. Tip: add some Rustica for octane.

It is the 260 gram container that is the issue. I can get the snuff, just not in that size.
JJ, As I mentioned before, I would suspect the one pound drum will only be available in the reduced range (see sharrowmills.com for details - but Grand Cairo is definitely one of them) and every other flavour (including chocolate orange) will be whatever tins they still have on the shelf. Did I see that you were having some HDT recently in the what’s in your nose thread? If you like the toasts, add a small tin of Dr Rumneys Brown to your order 
There’s only me and mrmanos that have commented on it in the review thread, and it would be good to get some more comments from toast users 
I think it might be a blend of toast and natural. Also, Wallflower and Jockey Club are certainly worth trying if you haven’t already. Both are in the continued range, so you can grab bulk later if you wish.

For mentholated I like Dynamite for non-mentholated Lemon Grove ( now it is just grove ).
These snuffs are still being produced .
@JosephJames I’d second the Jockey Club. Are you in the UK? If so, Wilsons will ship to you direct.
I’m in the US, so I cannot order direct.
The same thing happened to me with F&T Santo Domingo last month. Mr Snuff no longer had it, and couldn’t get more, damn. I really wanted a giant tub of that! I can’t recommend anything else in the giant size except Viking Brown. Which is, by the way, what I finally decided upon. I usually only purchase 25g tins of Wilson’s, but always more than one. Thats in case they decide to stop making it. The Viking Brown was a quick decision, only had it once, but I liked it. Oh, sorry, you were just looking for Wilson’s, my bad. See if they have Brunswick, or Dynamite, or maybe Best Dark. When I was looking a few weeks ago, it seemed like they were out of all the snuffs I really like.
