Thanks. 11 150 g tins is around $200.00 from Mr. Snuff–I know someone can get it more reasonably. I got a kilo of NB Madras for $80.00 shipped to the US.
1000 grams = 1 kilo . 7 X 150 = 1050 grams 7 X 19.99 = 139.93

Daniel, are you still holding some of that NB? My Kilo is rapidly being depleted. I was thinking–I know you are into the exotic (and awesome!) scents (enjoying some Dreamcatcher right now), but have you thought about making a simple high-nic snuff? IDK what the recipe is for WE, but I’m sure your discerning palate could figure it out.

Shaman, yes, and shipping is $48 and change. I see they’ve changed the bulk prices–last time I figured it out, it was cheaper to go to 11 cans and get the bulk discount. Now it’s not. So, back to $180 for ~a Kilo. Someone’s gotta have it for less.
In the mean time, I’ve got 9oz. of Dental Scotch coming that I’m hoping will fulfill the need for a while.

@mecompco I’m at the bottom of my last tin of NB and doing some pre-emptive jonesing if I should run out before I can replenish my stash.
I’ve tried the Indian Whites and am not a fan, not sure why, but it reminds of unpleasant places in unpleasant times. I do like the nicotine delivery, but I’m not sure of the source.
OM Ivory Toast is my highest nicotine snuff, made of 100% burley. I’d add rustica, but that shit gives me migraines without the headache. I thought it was the long promised flashback from my days as a sixties reprobate at first. There’s something about it that I don’t agree with. If anyone would like to gift me a few pinches of their favorite Indian White, I’ll be happy to try to figure out the formula. I damn sure won’t spend my own money on that stuff :((
I think, don’t know for certain, that Madras are made with a species of high nicotine burley, not a domestic USA version though. If anyone has some input on that supposition I am all ears.

Daniel, OM Ivory Toast sounds good–what is the grind? You know, I didn’t love WE at first, but it grew on me! If I had any left, I’d send a sample.
I guess we need to find another source for NB–I’ve got the companies address and phone number in India, but I double they’d be willing to ship just a kilo or two.
@mecompco Ivory Toast is a medium/fine grind…not nearly as finely milled as the high toasts, and it has Amish butter that makes it very civil in the nose. Great nic hit. Let me know if you’re interested.

Daniel, IT sounds pretty good. Can you take it to a fine grind in your mill? Just a thought. Sure wish I had some WE for you to sample. Yes, it sometimes gives a bit of a “fishy” scent, but I like it, just like some of the Indians that have the nice “barnyard” scent. Sounds off–putting, but is somehow pleasant (at least to me).
I’ve seen a tps Madras from hookah1 that seems around this price but have no experience with the vendor… And they’re in the us so I thought couldn’t ship smokeless tobacco anyway. Was going to order but was leery for that reason. Anyone have experience with hookah1?
@Chefdaniel, the Ivory Toast sounds great (clever name!). If I wasn’t so constrained by customs restrictions, I’d definitely put in an order. Even though I do like Rustica, like the way Sir Johnny uses it, there are times when I’d prefer a snuff without it. In fact, I wish SWS would try a rustica-free toast, too, there are times I wish it wasn’t there in Havana Toast.
Back to White Elephant. I need a kilo, too! I even tried to make friends with an Indian grocer who imports other tobacco products, so has a license to get past customs, or bribes the right people, or whatever, to see if he’d get a large order but I haven’t succeeded yet.
Regarding price, personally, I think 18 cents a gram is money well spent – but when I was in Tibet, similar white snuffs cost less than a cent a gram. Different market segment, different marketing strategy. The guys buying it there lives on three bucks a day or something.

I ordered from hookah1 once, wanted to get some snuffpaste. Not sure what that was about. But didnt have enough after shipping. It was less than $200. You could probably get 2.5 kilos of Madras for the same price, Its easier to take than the White Elephant, you maybe taking big pinches.
TPS is OK, I usually keep it in one of my bullets for when the NB bullet runs out. TPS is not an all-day snuff for me, and it nothing like WE. There is no way it could be a substitute for me; I totally understand if others like it.
