I know purists cringe when “white snuffs” are included in the mention of snuffs and snuffing. One of the reasons I left snuffing three years ago is that my wife is overly concerned with my nasal health. Therefore, when I came back into snuffing, I ordered a couple of the fructose-based white powders (I refuse to call them “snuff”). This review is about Bernard’s Naseweis. I bought mine at SnuffGear, along with a round tin of Poschl Sniffy. Taste: True mint, some menthol and a very cooling sensation. Effects/Side Effects/Drawbacks: I’ve read that the white powders cause a stuffy nose, but in small doses I haven’t had that problem. The drain is, as you might expect sweet. Lord help me, but the only thing I can think of when snuffing this stuff is snorting Pixie Stix, but the sensation and scent are both quite pleasant. Best Uses: I think this would be an ideal sweetener/cut for strong menthol/tobacco snuffs, and I might try doing so. However, as a first-choice sniff…forget it. Not that I don’t enjoy it in small whiffs; I do. It just isn’t “snuff.” So, I’ll whiff this when the old lady is around, but switch to my traditional snuffs when she’s not in my company. Naseweis Extra: All the above statements are true to my opinion, but add a mega-blast of icy menthol. Almost too much to take. My eyes watered a little; not as much as they water when I do a pea-size snuff of Poschl Red Bull or other strongly-mentholated snuff, but I still tear up and sneeze on this stuff. Note: This might be one to sniff in the privacy of one’s home. A clear vial of this along with a spoon or mirror , or whiffed from a bullet might attract unwanted attention from law enforcers and other do-gooders. LOL
