I have noticed a bit of increased post nasal drip only when I snuff. To put it in perspective it is much better than what I experienced when smoking which was an all the time drip that really got back in the throat and hung there. With snuff it is predictable and almost manageable. However I would like to work away from it. I try to keep my head forward, I don’t think I am bringing the snuff to far back in the nose (but I am new so I may be mistaken) and I have been cleaning the nasal cavity fairly well. Neti pot every other evening, quick wash on the others. Just looking for tips to maybe help reduce it. Could a discussion with an ENT (as in the doctor not the middle earth creature) be something worth considering? Ken

Ken, the ENT will for sure tell you to stop snuffing immediately only because he knows nothing about snuff. I think most of us experience a bit of post nasal drip from time to time. When I’m in a reclined position it happens all the time. When I sit up straight or bent forward, I have no problem other than a dripping nose. You will find some snuffs make your nose run and that will be the same ones that will cause the PND. Once you’ve sorted that out, you will know to be careful when you are taking the “wet” ones.

The ENT saying that was exactly what I was thinking. It is not a big deal. I shall experiment and see what I find. Ken

hock a loogie is what I say. Seriously if I’am not in too polite company I’ll kind of snort the drip into my mouth and spit it out. Seems to clear it up almost instantaniously.

That is pretty much what I am doing. Ken
