So when I snuff I take a pinch, usually just with thumb and forefingers, and give it a light sniff. Then I let out a cough to expel any excess dust; this lets out a big cloud usually. Then I whipe my nose/face and enjoy the scent until my nose starts running. Does anyone else do this thing with coughing out a dustcloud? If I don’t when I breathe in through my nose it irritates my throat. So it’s always sniff, then artificial cough to blow out a cloud of excess.

Yeah with moist snuffs I give a cough just to get rid of any excess but it doesn’t produce a cloud. Dholakia White though it’s like a dragon blowing smoke haha.

S

It happens occasionally with me.

Only cough if I take it too fast. I been spooning large whites and don’t think about it and the spoon is empty . Tried the cough thing; no clouds that I could see. I pinch McChrystal’s Hops I found this to be most enjoyable way, sometime I pinch toasts. Most snuffs I box car. come to think about it I think it depends on the snuff box I have at the moment. I do have an extra large snuff box of Schmalzler that I been pinching massive amounts of most recently. What ever way you enjoy your snuff is the right way

I think you are sniffing to hard, I’ve only had a cough a few times with a toast, and never a cloud expelled from my mouth. I think you are snuffing too deeply or hard. Of course I’ve had a cough, when I had a cough with a cold. Also the cough was my fault for snuffing to hard, eager beaver you know

@tboyer Nah it’s not that I snuff right in the front of my nose. The cough is AFTER I’ve snuffed. If I just take a pinch, then inhale through my nose to enjoy the scent, it will tickle/bother my throat. So I cough not because I sniff too hard, but so there’s no excess that will be inhaled when I take a breath.
