my schmalzler came in dry how can i rehydrate it?

Since it’s a fat/oil based snuff, there’s not much you can do. I have a schmalzler I kept in a ball jar and it still dried out.

Yeah, I’d return it if it was dry when you received it. Unless the snuff in question is Sternecker Ungefettet. That’s supposed to be dry. EDIT: Forgot to say that I have tried to rehydrate dried up schmalzler with water a few years ago. Didn’t really work.

Well, I don’t know, why you couldn’t revive it with a touch of Schmalz. Because of course every one of us has a pound of “Butterschmalz” in their refrigerator for these situations. At least I do
