I got a friend of mine to try a sniff! He was curious. He asked me what to try, so I put my supply out, leaving out the toasts and scotches (because I’m no sadist!). The winner was… Toque Toffee! I think he liked it! He didn’t say much, but he sure was smiling big! He got the perfect sniff too. This says a lot on how easy the Toques are to take.

The best way I found to get someone close is to let them hear how lightly you sniff. God, I remember my first sniff…W.E. Garrett Scotch. I thought it was coming out of my eyes. My brother got it right the first try though. It was a McCrystal’s mentholated one. I think Toque would’ve been even easier on the nose, but I didn’t have any menthols for him.
I forget what I offered one friend, but I told him not to rail it straight to the back of his throat, which he did. You could almost see the tears coming out of his eyes, but since I’d just taken the same stuff, he just said how good it was. Fortunately, he kept at it the rest of the night to avoid seeming like a wuss in front of his little brother (who actually listened to my advice, and didn’t have any problems), and he wound up getting the knack of it and enjoying it.
Hehehe, my brother has no interest in trying snuff (“you and your damned magic dust!”), but I did offer him an opened can of Garrett to smell. “Ugh, smells like sh*t!” This is the same guy who loves Memphis-style ribs and makes his own pulled-pork BBQ spaghetti; I figured he’d dive in nose-first and snoz it up on me! Ah well. More for me.
My best friend just got back to Michigan from a three-year sojourn in Newfoundland, and over a couple gallons of beer at Spike’s Keg O’ Nails I offered him some Royal George, with careful instructions on proper snuffing. He LOVED it! I let him keep the tin.

Now snuff did not help with my snacking and weight at all, but I believe snus has. I don’t want to eat with snus in, so my snacking has dropped alot, and I have lost weight.
I have found one guy at work that would try snuff, and he had already had American snuffs previous to this. He was trying to quit smoking, with no avail, so I brought him in a small tin of Toque natural. He absolutely loved it. I don’t know that he quit smoking, but he was interested in trying my other snuffs after that. ~Snuffy
a guy i know always trys a sniff or ten every time he see’s me with it. i’ve tried to tell him a hundred times not to snort it hard but he brings it right up and snorts as hard as he can and he’ll do it over and over and damn near cries every time. i’ve never accused him of being very smart but it gives me a helluva good laugh every time he takes a pinch. 
My buddy Matt saw my tins, so i told him what they were, then while i wasn’t looking he took a HUGE pinch oh HDT, and proceeded to seriously snort it. i would have warned him, but it was too late. His eyes looked like they were going to bleed, he was crying and sniffling, but he said it was the best nic hit of his life LMAO!

All my friends railed fat gaggers the first time they tried my snuff and I usually had Dholakia Kamal on me so as you could imagine there was crying and squinted faces for a couple minutes along with sneezing and coughing. But after they’ve had proper instruction and practice they know exactly what to do now when they see me with my snuff out. It’s amazing how ready people are to snort things these days.
I’ve gotten a few ladies to smell the stuff but none to dip their fingers in. Guys get over the taboo quickly, but last night my sister-in-law told me “Some of them smell really good, but NOTHING goes up my nose.” Several cocaine references followed so I know she’s still weirded out by it…I just sat mellowly sipping my bourbon, strumming my guitar, and enjoying my snuff. The rest of them smoked about ten cigarettes last night too. I’m proud to say that I haven’t touched a cigarette, nor have even been tempted (even by my wife who is becoming more and more of a social smoker) since learning the joys of snuff.
most of my friends take a pinch or two when I see them some more then others. I do how ever have one friend that snorts the snuff and it never seems to bother him. Which I find really confusing.
Some people can just do that. For me, I can sit there and do that with WoS HDT #22, if I’m not paying attention, but the IDHT#20 would kill me if I did that. I would think it would be the other way, but go figure.
