My first impressions of snuff art

A

Hello guys!

I’m here to describe a little of my first experiences on the smokeless tobacco (snuff) habit. Sorry for my english

First of all, I bought four cans for a start: Poschls Gletscherprise, Araçá, Caratinga with Imburana and Caratinga Menthol - the last three are brazilian snuff, or “rapé”.

I have to say it feels really good to sniff this little tobacco powder, and it’s a completely different sensation from smoking pipes, as I’m used to do for years.

About the cans, I really liked the Gletscherprise one, it’s delicious! The brazilian ones seemed a little ‘no taste’ for me…even the menthol one, I did not feel the same way as the german menthol snuff.

As for method of snuff, I’m getting used to use index and thumb. I don’t know if I’m doing correctly thought, because I did not feel any sore or irritation on the nose. Also I don’t feel the need to sneeze or to use the handkerchief…where does the tabacco goes??

So lads, any considerations?

As far as art work goes, I think the Indian types of snuff draw my attention most with their color and designs. I do like the Poschl trademark, too. I would actually like a nice blue t-shirt with it on there.

I got a box of this earlier in the week. I think it is oldstyle and cool:

The only design I don’t like is the WoS label. The ones shown above are very nice bits of graphic design.

Wilson does not do any favors to themselves with their packaging. It is simple but not elegant.

And their Dandy looks kinda special (as in mentaly handicaped) on the tins. On their boxes he looks great.

My favorite label is the one on Dragun
