Just got in contact with a friend of mine. Apparently he has an Ascent sitting in a drawer. I’ll be testing it within a couple of days. I’ve decided not to ask what kind of leaf he used with it in case I decide to take it off of his hands.
If you’re looking for an e-liquid atomizer, the Innokin MVP that @shezzuk1 mentions seems to be the way to go currently.
Sorry to be pedantic but the MVP is basically a MOD, or a large battery, the atomiser is what screws onto the top of it. Because of the 510 connector you can basically put any atomiser you want on it. It’s the ape’s grapes so to speak
Then let’s say it’s the go-to power supply at the moment, unless you belong to the provari fanbase with too much money on their hands 
I used to work for a company that made some components for RJReynolds way back in the mid-eighties when they developed the first smokeless cigarette, Eclipse. It was a tube of tobacco with a glycerin packet hidden inside. The heat was produced by a charcoal tip that was burning (but it didn’t smoke). The hot air was pulled through the tabacco, picking up the nicotine, and also picking up moisture from the glycerine to produce vapor. Although it delivered the nicotine without the tar I think you got a lot of carbon monoxide from the charcoal, which wasn’t good. Also, you had to be really sure the charcoal was really out before you disposed of the cigarette (which looked just like an unused one). It tasted sort of funky too, like burning charcoal. So, it had lots of problems on its own, but then the media jumped on it hard. After complaining for years that nobody was working on a “safer” cigarette, (which Eclipse was) the media lambasted RJR for developing a new nicotine delivery system. The product didn’t last too long, but we had plenty of free samples floating around the plant for a while. Too tell the truth though, even a lot of the free stuff got thrown away because it was not a good smoking experience.
Vaping ain’t smoking, don’t get me wrong I still love a Van Nelle Zware, but it’s a close second…
