Well, my friend has returned from her holiday in Florda (as I believe it is pronounced) with two boxes of Hot Tamales (cinnamon jellybeans) that she always brings back for me, a tin of Planter’s Spanish Peanuts (couldn’t find any Beer Nuts, but yummy anyway!), and a tub of Tube Rose and Honey Bee. I’ve had several goes at both, and my conclusions so far are; Tube Rose; Sniff, sniff, cough, wheeze… kapow! It’s kind of like a supercharged High Dry Toast (closer to WoS no.22 than G&H Irish D), with an underlying malty scent, and a fair old whack of nicotine. Honey Bee; Tentative sniff (after the Tube Rose) - aah, much more easy going, almost flour-like grind, and a look of French mustard powder. There isn’t a whole lot of scent, too much honey might be a bit cloying, but a little more would be nice. On the whole, pretty nice. I can see me trying these out for a fair while yet…
