A few months ago I returned to snuff after an absence of several years. I was going through my collection, and some of the jars smell a little musty. Not all, but some. Are these still good? Can they be saved? Or should I just pitch them?

I have jars of Quit and HDT that do not smell musty, and they seem to be fine. I’ve been using them. All of these snuffs were stored in mason jars. I use mason jars for my pipe tobacco, and have never had a problem with it.

I would stay away from the almost musty stuff. Even if there wont be any critical things in it like fungus etc etc I would not want to snuff musty snuff.

I would new, fresh one instead.

But thats just me.

Ditch them. Which snuffs?

T

Do not throw them.Just let them “breath” for a couple of hours!

If the repulsive smell persists, then throw them.

At least that’s what I’d do.

p.s. if there is any Abraxas among them, don’t bother at all,PM me and I will help you to get rid of it!
