Bill Evans Trio (albums)- “sunday at the village” and “waltz for debby” E
Guitar; 30 odd years playing blues/hard rock lead. My last proper paid work was six or seven years ago churning out standards in the West End, nowadays I just play for my own amusement and I’m a big fan of the youtube backing tracks that make practice more fun than it used to be, keeps me happy anyway. I’ve got a battered Strat and a Marshall that works when it feels like it (too much beer over the years), one lead, one strap, one plec and no pedals. Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray, Lonnie Mack, Django and the rest of the old boys being my usual recording artists to listen to - plus the English amateurs like EC. There’s a lot of musicians on this site.

Abraxas heil yea I love me some django. And that’s awesome you live in Britain, I’ve always really wished I lived there, way cooler looking skies, landscape, architecture. So much inspiration just seeing video of the british countryside. And Bob! That sounds eerily similar to my best friend who is an pianist/organist/jazz drummer. I’m liking the drone textures in the back with the counterpoint up front. And little analog toy keys are always just awesome. I actually also have a recording of .myself on a chord organ that sounds so much like that one of yours as well. The harmony isn’t the similarity, more of the texture/ rhythm. If I can learn how to put my receding on YouTube ill post it here. But as of right now I’m not quite sure how to.
it was on the magnus. The fuzz in the recording is the sound of the electric motor e.q. can do intersting things if you play around with it.
toffeenose who posts here sometimes is the famous musician on here
Been playing guitar since I was 11 too! Lots of blues and rock with some jazz. I played in my high school jazz band last year and that really expanded my horizons. I make my own tunes, which is pretty easy with GarageBand, some piano and bass background, and a drum pad. The drum pad makes my rock n roll a but more interesting and gives it that bumping sound I’ve grown to love through listening to old school hip hop.
I picked up djangology this summer along with some junior wells with Buddy Guy on guitar and I have damn near every Hendrix CD besides his BBC Sessions and West Coast Seattle Boy box set. Even did a little studying of Charlie Christian over the summer with my Genius of the Electric Guitar cd.

I sing, play electric guitar (got a small collection but my mains are a one-off Flying V that was made for me, a '66 Tele and an HH IC100 amp, great sound), a couple of acoustic resonator guitars, alto, tenor and baritone sax, blues harp (harmonica, that is), and I’m currently having a go at flute, which is hard - one minute it’s a great sound, then one tiny move of the lips it all goes fluffy. If you go to youtube and type in Marvin And The Hang Gliders or Back To The Blues that’s me on the right of the screen.
heyl yea man thats awesome ill check out that video tonight . n oh boy resonator guitars are the best i really want to get a single cone.
bass
wait so the one with the bass or the vocals?
Well described, that’s me doing the vocals - can’t really call it singing. :))
