I can not think of many advantages of living in London but we do have a couple of reasonable tobacco shops. My wife and Son had an evening in the West End today and bought me a can of the above snuff from the old snuff parlour in Covent Garden. Now we all know its a contract brand of Wilsons, however - a really nice (surprisingly so) moist and punchy SP resides in the tin. I am a genuine snuff snob but this, regardless of the fact thats its got nothing more to do with Mullins and Westbury than I have, is really lovely. This is a brand I use on occasion because of proximity but if you do see it available anywhere try it, unless its horribly dried out in transit you wont be dissapointed. As a more or less lifelong WoS user I can’t find an exact duplicate - some similar types, yes, but not its equal counterpart.
Ha! I had no idea that Mullins and Westley was a contract brand! Very jealous that this is within reaching distance from you Londoners.
and oddly enough sold through snuffstore.de. My understanding is that there are only 4 M&W snuffs available at Covent Garden, but snuffstore.de has 9, I think. Very odd.
Thanks for the link Xander!!!
Xander you wouldnt happen to speak German? I dont think they mail to America would you know of another place to order from?
All of these questions and more are revealed in the exciting thread I just bumped to the top.
@Xander: The Covent Garden store always stocks four (Jock’s Choice, Particular, Mature Crumbled and Keen Scented), plus at least one “Manager’s Special”. At the moment the specials are Citrus Delight and Rumba.
Thank you Brad. If you think of it, next time you are there, ask them if they might have the order snuff online feature on their website finished anytime soon. I tried emailing them through the site a few times and the email came back to me as a bad address. Much appreciated.
BradMajors is correct - I went there a couple of weeks ago and they had Citrus Delight, but no Rumba.
