If you haven’t noticed the two cool pdfs that Mr Snuff is sharing with us, I highly recommend them; great reading for anyone who loves snuff and its lore. I tried to print “The Old Snuff House” but it’s such a large file that it kills every printer I’ve tried it on. So what I did was copy the text (no images, alas) into a word document to print. It didn’t come across with very good fidelity, but it’s readable and it’s a very cool thing to read. If anyone wants it, I’ll be happy to mail my copy to them as I’m finished with it. Just send me your address and I’ll get it off. Meanwhile I really suggest that you download the docs, as they’re great fun.
I love those pdfs…Mr. Snuff is awesome for putting those on his site, it’s a great way to educate others about snuff, and its rich history. I’m glad you pointed em out, as most of us are so wrapped up in ordering our snuff and other baccy products, many might not have even noticed them. And they are definitely a great read!!
Thanks for the tip Ddav. I’ve been so busy with matters at hand I had failed to notice the downloads.
If anybody finds any other interesting articles you think others would enjoy let me know and we’ll make them available. Dave
where to get them ? the PDF´s ?
Go to Mr Snuff and you’ll find them on the front page. Totally worthwhile!
Not to belittle Dave’s efforts, but Filek’s site has had these and dozens of other snuff documents available for some time: http://www.top25snuff.com/en/documents.html Ermtony’s site has lot of snuff literature, as well: http://ermtony.pbworks.com/w/page/14871687/Snuff-Documents I think these are all in public domain, so it doesn’t really matter who hosts them. Many thanks to all involved!
Awesome! Thanks @Jeri T, we love reading about our passion.
Hi guys, If I find anything interesting snuff related I post it here. http://www.snuffstore.co.uk/news Scroll through, it goes back to 2007. There’s poetry, links to news articles, interviews with people connected with snuff and that kind of stuff. I have a load of new snuff related info to add from my collecting snuff related books ‘obsession’, I’ve managed to build up quite a collection now of snuff related books - but the site server update and site move has been taking my time recently. The Fribourg booklet has been loaded and has been linked here since 2007 - http://www.snuffstore.co.uk/news/2007/12/11/fribourg-treyer-snuff/ If you’re after the Lancet snuff article that people often refer to, it’s also hosted on Snuff Store here; http://www.snuffstore.co.uk/Lancet%20Snuff.pdf I don’t usually shout about these things, but it would appear that maybe I should! Kind Regards Tim
