My first order through Mr Snuff was shipped on 02 Sep and it still says that it has processed through the facility in Chicago since 07 Sep. Is this normal?
That is quite a long time and usually nasal snuff gets held up at customs so not sure why it’s stuck there. You can give the good people over at mr snuff a heads up but I believe they don’t begin the process of investigating lost or held packages until 28 days from the shipping date. My last Mr Snuff order took longer than usual but that was only 11 days from UK to California.
Chicago IS a cargo customs stopover. That’s slow but not unheard of. They’ll get off their butts sooner or later. I feel your pain.
Ah I was not aware, makes sense though.
My white elephant just came arrived (6 total days) and that was ordered 12 days after the package im waiting on.
Iv ordered several through the Chicago place. It is The Worst. Iv waited months. Wish I had better news. I rarely order because of this, and always do big orders because I know it’s going to suck. Sorry my friend. I feel your pain.
Has your order arrived?
As you know customs is outside our control, but if it gets lost in the ether, we’ll reship.
Dave
@mrsnuff, i tracked it today and it is finally out of chicago and en route. It was just weird my white elepbant arrived in 6 days! I appreciate the follow up and prompt customer service! I will definitely order through you again!
hey, I just wanted to share my delivery experiences with you.
My first 3 orders took 11 days, 30 days, & 13 days respectively. My 4th order placed with mr. snuff on 10/31, arrived in the US 11/7. So here it is 11/22 and it looks like I’m looking at another 30day interval or longer, if at all. What is up with this? Is anyone else have terrible experiences like me? Any input would be great!
@wonderfvl, I think it’s chicago customs. shipments to Boston by way of NYC take 5-8 days
For some reason I never get the alerts from Mr. Snuff in my email, does anyone know the code for Free shipping on Black Friday?
@jmahes finally, my tracking number made it into the usps system on 11/28. usps says “Your item arrived at our USPS facility in JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 on November 28, 2016 at 7:51 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.” I guess there’s a ‘special needs’ customs office in Jersey City, NJ? Do you think a formal complaint would speed it up any or make it slower? LOL
@illini_mac8504 Aren’t you glad you don’t live in Georgia? so far two of my orders have a 30day+ interval.
USPS isnt the greatest. I once had a MM cob order take over a month to get to me, according to the tracking it was going in circles between 2 sorting facilities and it wasnt until I filed a claim on the package that they did something about it, the very next day the tracking said arrived in Canada.
I ship Internationally on a fairly regular basis. One thing I can tell you, it definitely matters what particular hub your mail gets sorted through. I can send a pipe to Japan in half the time I can send one to Canada. Others I know get a package to Canada in just a few days, but I can count on 3-4 weeks every time.
What I concluded is that mail from here goes through the same sort facilities every time, and just the luck of the draw, these particular facilities suck… sounds like your situation is much the same coming through Chicago. In my experience, you can pretty well count on more of the same with future orders.
@wonderfvl, damn, New Jersey huh? probably shouldn’t make a complaint
@lunecat, you’re going to make people envious! well at least I am
How can you tell where the packages come into the USA?
when it clears customs, you can use the royal mail tracking number after USPS employees feel like putting it in the USPS system.
I can imagine it takes even longer to pass customs this time of year. Good thing Im stocked up.
finally got it on day 30 thanks to usps
There’s been a flourishing small-scale drug trade through the international mail (especially designer drugs). Inspectors are going to be on the lookout for powdery substances disguised like legitimate products, but they simply don’t have the resources to check them all out. When they do check them, it’s not one at a time. They set them aside and will later go through a batch. This could explain some of the delays and why they aren’t always consistent.
