Mr. Snuff shipped my order out last Thursday and it came today. I’m super excited. I do have a question. I received 2 Poeschl snuffs and they are in a box. My problem is with Red Bull. I only have one working arm. I’m having a hard time getting the snuff out. Any tips? I had a stroke last March so my right arm doesn’t work very well. Helpppp
Tap a little out of the tin with your good arm on to a spoon or knife or other utensil and then lift that to your nose maybe? Just out of curiosity…are you in the U.S.?
What else did you get in your shipment Mike? Red Bull is on my list of snuffs never too get again, just too much icey menthol for my liking, that stuff hurts!
A snuff tube of some sort might be helpful. Do as suggested above, table top, a book, any flat surface, then sniff it in. I do it a lot that way. Snuff Store has them. I use a glass one that you see at a convience store that has a small rose inside. I removed the rose and walla a snuff tube was born. These work too I just tried it. (spoon)
Sorry to here of your troubles extracting snuff, be persistent! Very glad to hear of the quick delivery! I was troubled by the other post about the overdue snuff, Dave has shipped to me dozens of times with no troubles, I know he cares and will work hard to get things right. Good luck with the Red Bull, not a favorite of mine, give the GH tubs a try with a spoon, easy to open and a right good snuff.
The Nose Knows: I live in Michigan and considering yesterday no mail, I really didn’t expect it to come so soon. Thanks for tip. I’ve trying to do that a little. My problem is getting it all over. I guess I’ll just keep practicing. Gimpy: Unfortunately, the glass tubes you’re talking about are illegal in Michigan. I guess the state figured out that most of the roses were going to make crack pipes as opposed to gifts. I bought a small bottle with the snuff spoon on Mr. Snuff’s web page, but I’m having a hard time getting the snuff inside the bottle. Instead I’m getting it all over the floor I got a big order: -Dholokia Black 10g -Dholokia Sparrow 10g -NTSU -Red Bull x2 -Poeschl Ozona President -Makla dip/snus? I don’t know whether it’s dip or snus. I also got the Makla snuff.
A stroke! You said in your other post that your only 24, you are the first person I have ever heard of getting a stoke in their 20’s. That’s got to suck bigtime.
@jazzi_mike I am very sorry to hear about your stroke, especially if as n9inchnails said you are only 24. I hope you are well on your way to recovery. If I were in your situation, I would empty the tap-box into a smash box or other container and take pinches instead.
Yeah, I had my stroke last March. It sucks. I never had problems and suddenly it happened. I’m getting better now though, but my right arm is pretty rough still. I can move it, but not very good.
Lincoln, that is a fantastic idea. I think I’ll do that if the whole tapping onto a knife doesn’t work.
You know, I prefer to snuff off of the back of my hand; the “anatomical snuff-box” if you will, using a snuff spoon to get it there. This, of course, requires two hands. I have tried to take the snuff right off of the spoon and it just isn’t the same. I get a good seal between my nostril and my hand before snuffing to reduce throat-hit, but this is not possible off of a spoon. I hope one of the two methods works well for you. Not to pry, but I am 29 and have always been terrified of something like a stroke happening to me at an early age. If you are comfortable sharing, did your doctor have any idea what caused the stroke? A blood clot from elsewhere in your body? Plaque buildup in your brain arteries? Smoking? Again, good luck to you. I am sure that a few minor changes in behavior/lifestyle will ensure that you continue to grace us with your posts for many years to come. My thoughts and prayers are in favor of your continued health.
I’ve been to 3 neurologists and they can’t say what lead to my stroke. It was a ruptured blood vessel in my brain. It was a hemorrhagic stroke not an ischemic one so my weight/cholesterol didn’t do it. I did smoke before the stroke and the hospital told absolutely no smoking. I really didn’t expect it to happen and never thought about it, but I definitely get scared about it happening again. It was real scary. I couldn’t walk or talk and my arm was limp. I’ve come a long way from that point, but I still have an immense amount of difficulty with my arm. Plus I was right handed. I’ve been having to learn how to use my left hand for everything.
@jazzi_mike: I am glad your order arrived in 5 days. It is a relief to hear that orders are getting through in a timely manner. I am really sorry to hear about your stroke. I agree the pinch method is the way to go. I use that method pretty much exclusively myself with the exception of in the car when I use a posh bullet. These are teh easiest to use with one hand imho. I received my order from Mr Snuff today. It took only 8 days. I’m in rural upstate New York, so the delivery time is pretty impressive! Now I have a bunch of new snuffs to try!
I’m getting excited, I should have one inhouse any day now too. I’m glad the postal service is getting its act back together a bit.
